All candidates, who qualify the PE&MT, shall be put through a written test of 03 hours duration which will carry 200 marks. The question paper will be of objective as well as descriptive type. The written test will comprise of (i) Computer fundamentals (ii) Data structure (iii) Algorithm (iv) Programming in languages used by Delhi Police (v)Concept of operating system (vi) Networking (vii) Database management (viii) Computer security tools and concepts and (ix) Concepts of internet communication. All those candidates who will obtain minimum 50% marks in written test will only be called for the practical test which will carry 90 marks. Candidates will be tested on programming and database design:Operating System, Report Writers, Languages and Databases:The practical test will be conducted only in operating systems, databases and languages being used in Delhi Police. DESIRABLE Experience of one year in the repair and maintenance of wireless, telephone and other telecommunication equipments from a Government Department/Public Sector Undertaking/reputed communication organization. Or Having passed Grade-II Proficiency Test of Radio Technician conducted/approved by the Directorate of Co-ordination Police Wireless, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India with three years practical experience in the ArmedForces/Govt. The paper shall be in two parts first part consisting of question of 80 marks on theory on electronics and telecommunication of diploma standard, the second part shall consist of question of 20 marks on general knowledge. The paper shall be Multi Choice Questions (MCQ). (a) Those candidates who secure 40% marks and above in the written test would be called for a trade test. (b) The trade test shall comprise of identifying faults, analysis and repair of faults in the wireless communication equipments used in Delhi Police. (c) Specific faults will be introduced in a working set which to be repaired and made operational by the candidates. (d) Similarly, the candidates will be tested for repairing of power supply, public address system and various tests/measuring equipments. (e) The trade test will be of 50 marks and the candidate securing less than 25 marks (50%) will be eliminated while preparing the final result. The final result will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination (100 marks). The candidates who come within the range of merit of written test equal to ten (10) times the number of vacancies shall be called to take the (i) Shorthand Test and (ii) Typing Test on computer. SHORTHAND TEST:- The shorthand test shall carry maximum 25 marks. The dictation of Hindi Shorthand test will be of 05 minutes duration and the time allowed for transcription of Shorthand passage will be 45 minutes. Five percent (5%) of the mistakes of the total test dictated (400 words) at the time of the test are allowed to the candidates. If the mistakes are more than 5% i.e. above 20 mistakes, he/she is considered having failed in the test. TYPING TEST:- The Hindi typing test on computer will be of 10 minutes duration and the test shall carry maximum 25 marks. The candidates will be allotted marks according to speed achieved in the typing test. Only those candidates who qualify the shorthand and typing tests will be allowed to appear in the computer Test. The computer test will be tested on word-processing software (MS-Word etc.) which will be of qualifying nature. The candidates will be given 10 minutes time to format the typed passage in the same way as it is in the supplied hand-out and to print the passage in the printer. Out of the 10 marks for the formatting 20 features carrying marks each, the candidates should secure atleast 06 marks to qualify. The final result will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Written Examination (100 marks), Shorthand Test (25 marks) and Typing Test on computer (25 marks). The final result will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written test (100 marks) and trade test (50 marks). Where equal marks have been obtained by candidates their merit will be fixed as per date of birth. Candidates securing at least 40% marks in the horse riding ability test would be declared qualified. The final result will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written test (100 marks) and horse riding ability test (60 marks). NOTE :1. Those candidates who are declared not qualified in height/chest measurement (s) may prefer an appeal, if he/she so desire to the appellate authority present on the PE&MT ground on the same day. The decision of the appellate authority will be final and no further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained. There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump, high jump. 2. The relaxation in physical standards once granted at the time of initial appointment in Delhi Police, will hold good till the individual concerned remains in Delhi Police. 3. The wards of serving, deceased and retired police personnel including Multi-Tasking staff (formerly group-D employees) of Delhi Police belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Hill Area category will not be entitled to get double relaxation. They can claim relaxation either in their caste/category or in wards of police personnel including Multi-Tasking Staff (formerly group-D employees) of Delhi Police. 9. MODE OF FILLING & SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM Application forms shall be available to the candidates in the following way: i) Application form shall be available on-line on Delhi Police Websites www.delhipolicerecruitment.nic.in & www.delhipolice.nic.in. of all the candidates declared successful in PE&MT. The candidates will also be required to submit attested photo copies of all the documents/certificates. CAUTION:i) Furnishing of false information or suppression of any factual information in the application form would be a disqualification for the job. ii) In the event of any forgery/cheating of any document(s) i.e. educational certificate, caste certificate etc., being detected at any stage, besides cancellation of candidature, a criminal case will also be got registered against the candidate as per law and the department's decision in this regard shall be final. 11. Candidates belonging to OBC category of area other than Delhi shall have to produce OBC certificate on the prescribed format required for appointment to posts under the Govt. of India. If there is any variation in the interpretation of words/instructions, the English version will prevail and the decision of Police Headquarters will be final. Candidates already working with Govt. can apply after intimating to their Head of Office/ Department and need not send another copy through proper channel. An undertaking to this effect may be enclosed with the application form. They will have to provide N.O.C. from their department at the time of checking of documents. Candidates are advised to keep with themselves photocopies of application form, admit card and admission card (at the time of written examination) for ready reference. Medium of instruction in Police Training School is Hindi. All the candidates will be sent Admit card for PE&MT and for other tests by post. The department will not be responsible for postal delay or non receipt of letters. Admission Card for the written test will be issued to the successful candidates immediately after the PE&MT at the ground itself. No TA/DA will be paid.
