PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently
especially Fr. Archie Afelskie, Walter Miller, brother of Doreen Ballard and Blanche
(Roy) Kelly, mother of Eleanore Keon.
PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: “Let us raise up in prayer those who seek
God’s healing love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home. May your struggle
be consoled by Christ’s love“.

SISTER SHEILA WHELAN

S ister Sheila is currently on holidays. Upon her return she begins a


new appointment as a member of the Leadership Team for her
community, the Grey Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. On the
weekend of September 12 th and 13 th we will have an opportunity to
prayerfully and socially express our gratitude to her for almost eight
years of ministry here at St. Francis Xavier.
Now we begin to assess the future needs of our parish. As such, we can
explore the possibilities of how to best meet our desire to reflect well the
ministry of our community.

BISHOP’S LETTER: Bishop Mulhall has published a letter regarding the upcoming
mediation process with the victims of Msgr. Bernard Prince. Copies of the letter
are available at the doors of the church, on the Diocesan website or at the Parish
office. Let us prayerfully remember all who
are struggling because of these events. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY: to all couples
of the Parish who celebrated a Wedding
