Topic : Story Time (Little Chimp and Big Chimp) Skills : 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance. 1.3.1 a)Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts by answering simple Wh-uestions. 1.1.2(c) Able to listen to and enjoy simple stories. 4.3.2(c) Able to take part with guidance in a performance based on stories. Teaching points : Pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, Act out the dialogue. Learning points :Get pupils to talk about a book that they have read. Listen and respond appropriately in formal informal situations for a variety of purposes. Vocabulary : cheese,chocolate,chips,cheetah,china,chin Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to say -Tell to their friends why friends like the story. -Talk about the characters in the story -Pupils may change the wishes -Elicit oral responses from pupils by giving yes/no replies and answering simple Wh-Questions. Do now starter activity to engage students Teacher show LCD about the story and ask pupils to talk about other story and places where the story are played. Connection to previous lesson/prior learning Review all air sounds use flash cards.(last week) Learning Episode 1:(Remember to challenge &motivateand ensure all can be successful) Teacher will show LCD and talk tell to their friends why friends like the story. Learning Episode 2: -Pupils will see and enjoy the LCD about the story and will explain about the story. Learining Episode 3 : Pupils will review the words cheese,chocolate,chips,cheetah,china,chin. Learning Episode 4 : Pupils will listen and say the sentenses , tell to their friends why friends like the story.Talk about the characters in the story.Pupils may change the wishes. Do now starter activity to engage students Teacher says tongue twister ..Ask what do they notice about words? Circle ch sounds and get children to practice the sounds. Connection to previous lesson/prior learning Review all ch sounds use flash cards Learning Episode 1:(Remember to challenge &motivateand ensure all can be successful) Put ch words in red on board and teach children to read them correctly. Learning Episode 2: Put sentences strip on the board .Get children to read the sentences.Cheack pronunciation of ch and understanding. Learining Episode 3 : Give each group (4 children in a group with one strong reader in each group.)the sentence strips and instructions that everyone in the group must be able to read the sentences.They read round in the group. Learning Episode 4 : Children to cut the sentences into words mix up and remake and read the sentences. Plenary(Review the learning-check if students achieved the learning objectives) Check your partner can you read the ch words and read the ch words sentences. I can read and pronounce the ch words correctly and explain what they mean.
