West Sound GreenSTEM

Supporting teachers and students
engaging in STEM Field Based
Investigations and Sustainable Design
Projects
A Pacific Education Institute Program
provided in partnership with Olympic
Educational Service District and the Pacific
Northwest Salmon Center

The Pacific Education Institute is working with
the Puget Sound Partnership and The Russell
Family Foundation to reach school districts
around the Puget Sound and engage students in
action projects. In the West Sound Region, the
Olympic Educational Service District and
the Pacific Northwest Salmon Center lead these
efforts to support teachers to integrate their
students' learning in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math) with real
world projects that contribute to their
sustainable future.
The West Sound GreenSTEM Network links
together the regions schools with EcoNet
partners and others who support outdoor
investigations and student action projects.
