INSTALLATION MANUAL

Remove cover. Remove arm from body. Disconnect arm from 'D' bracket.

Check contents for parts against parts list. (See back page).

Tools required: Phillips and standard screw driver, 5/32" drill bit, adjustable wrench, tape, hand or To determine if installation is left hand or right hand, open the door part way. Face the end of the
door: a.) If hinges are on your right, the doorman mounts on the left. b.) If hinges are on your left, the doorman mounts on the right.

bracket and back plate. Using a 5/32" drill bit. drill all (6) holes approximately 3/4" deep.

A. Using (3) of the wood screws provided, attach 'D' bracket to

top jamb. B. Using (3) of the

wood screws provided, attach backplate to door.

Follow the appropriate drawing for pre-assembly of Doorman for left hand or right hand installation: Place square hole of arm on shaft. Attach securely by using the machine screwjock washer and flat washer supplied.

closer arm to 'D' bracket using washer and nut provided.

C. Adjust door closing speed to

suit. D. After desired speed is obtained, apply cover by
snapping it In place.

BUILT-IN HOLD OPEN DEVICE ON DM 85-D ONLY

This unit (model DM 85-D) has a

built-in non-adjustable hold open feature. By opening the

door beyond 85 the door will remain open. To close, simply pull or push door to

approximately 85 and release

Door will then close

automatically.
