he Lok Sabha Elections for 2014 is fast approaching. It is said that there are many contenders for the coveted post of Prime Minister. We as astrologers are burning midnight oil to analyse the charts of these contenders to come to a conclusion of who could be the next PM of India. As far as I know, there are few contenders for the post and these are Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar. We will analyse all these charts thread bare and see for ourselves who could be the possible PM of India in 2014. The elections are slated to be held during April-May 2014 and the PM is likely to be appointed in June 2014. So for our analysis, the following tools and methodologies have been used to arrive at the conclusion. 1. Birth charts contenders. of the individual

2. Horoscopes of Congress and Bhartiya Janta Party. 3. The dasha/antar dasha in operation as from June, 2014 will be taken as the basis for deciding the final outcome. 4. Transits during the period of May/June 2014. th 5. For a person to enter politics, one has to have a strong Lagna (ability), 10 house, 2nd house (speech), 3rd house (courage), 6th house (for service) and 11th house (desires). The planets that play important roles are Sun, Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. These planets should be connected to the relevant houses.

Analysis by Vedic and KP astrology 1. The lagna rising is Sagittarius. The lagna lord Jupiter is placed in the 9 th house with Ketu in Leo a royal sign. Jupiter is however, placed in the 8th house in the chalit chart. This shows the degree of assertiveness and the typical quality of being silent at every occasion. Jupiter is in the star of Venus in 7th (being lord of 5th, 6th and 10th). This shows his affinity, honesty and integrity with which he executes his duties. Jupiter stands for integrity. Here Jupiter signifies 10th house, the house of profession. 2. The sub lord of Lagna is Saturn placed in Lagna; lord of 2nd house Saturn is placed in the star of Sun (government) who is the lord of the 8th house in 10th. However, Sun falls in the 8th house in the chalit chart. The sub lord of Saturn is Mercury placed in 8th house being the lord of 7th and 9th houses. This again reiterates my statement in point no. 1 above. 3. The 10th house lord is Mercury (using equal house system) placed in the 10th house with Sun (government). The sub lord of 10th house is Saturn and the same is stated above in point no. 2 above. 4. The 2nd house sub lord is Mercury (speech) placed in the star of Sun in 8th house. Mercury is also conjunct Sun, the lord of 8th house. This really reveals that silence is golden. 5. The sub lord of 3rd house cusp is Venus (a saumya planet) in 7th house as lord of the 5th, 6th and 10th houses. Its star lord is Mercury (speech) in 8th house. No wonder he speaks very little or never speaks even when required. 6. The sub lord of 6th house is Saturn (common people) placed in Lagna in the star of Sun (lord of 8th house) and sub of Mercury in the 8th house again. This shows that

there is general discontentment from the people of India on his service to the country. 7. 11th house sub lord is Ketu in the 8th house (no planets are placed in Ketus star, hence he is strong in 8th house) in the star of Venus (in 7th house as lord 5th, 6th and 10th) in the sub of Saturn who is in 1st house. The signification of 8th house does not auger well for his 11th house. Jaimini Astrology 1. The Amk Moon is in 8th house though in its own house is conjunct Venus (lord of 6th and 11th houses). AK Venus and the MK Mars (lord of 5th and 12th) are aspected by Rahu. As the Amk Moon is placed in the 8th house along with AK in the 8th house, his efforts are not being appreciated by the people and there is a general discontentment that is in the air nowadays. 2. The 10th house has Sun (government). PK is with Mercury, the GK. This also is not a good placement for the Sun. Vimshottari Dasha 1. Currently Rahu Maha dasha is on till February 2014. Thereafter, Jupiter Maha dasha will begin. Jupiter is in the 8th house in the chalit chart along with Ketu. Jupiter is in the star of Venus and sub of Moon. Jupiter is in the 8th house as lord of the 1st and 3rd houses. Venus is in the 7th house and is lord of 5th, 6th and 10th houses. Moon is in 7th house, lord of none. There is a connection between 8th and 10th houses. 2. There is also a connection of 1st with 6th and 8th houses, which is not good from his health perspective. 3. In the Navamsha, Jupiter goes to the 12th house. 4. In the Dasamsha, Jupiter is debilitated and is aspected by Mars from the 12th house and Rahu. 5. Jupiter will be transiting the 12th house of Dasamsha (Cancer is the rising sign in D10). 6. The above configuration does not augur well for the post of PM. Hence, Manmohan Singh becoming PM is ruled out. Jaimini Chara dasha 1. In June of 2014 the Dasha running will be of Pi/Cn. Cancer will be the 8th house from the natal Ascendant which has A8 (Arudha of disappointment). Cancer has Amk (position) Moon with Mars (MK) and Venus, the AK (self).

Transits 1. On June 1st, 2014, Sun (government and PMs post) will form an exact square with natal Jupiter. Further, Mars (lord of 12th house) will be transiting the natal 10th house. The 11th house will have Rahu and retro Saturn. Jupiter will be in transit on Jupiters star, which represents 8th house in natal chart. All these are not conducive for the post of PM. 2. Transit Uranus will be at 21 Pi 33 in June of 2014, squaring the natal Lagna at 22 Sg 47. 3. Transit Neptune will be at 13 Aq 36 in opposition to natal Jupiter.

Conclusion As seen from above, neither Vimshottari nor Chara dasha are in favor of the native becoming the PM. In addition, the transits are also not favorable. Hence, the native becoming PM is ruled out.

Analysis by Vedic and KP astrology 1. The Lagna rising is Virgo. The Lagna lord Mercury is placed in the 9th house in the sign of Taurus. Mercury is in the star of Moon (in the 4th house being the lord of 11th house). Moon is aspected by Mars (lord of 9th house) and Sun (lord of 12th house). Mars is also lord of 3rd and 8th houses as per the equal house system. This shows that the person is rich by birth, but somehow lacks initiative (due to aspect of mars and sun, lord of 8th and 12th houses). The sub lord of Lagna is Jupiter (no planet is placed in Jupiters star) in 2nd house (Libra) aspected by Saturn (in 8th house being the lord of 6th). Libra is the natural 7th house, the house of public life. Jupiter is in the star of Mars (in 10th house being lord of 9th house) and sub of Venus (in 11th house being lord of 3rd). The AK Saturn is in the 8th house and debilitated. Saturn is aspected by Rahu (from the 6th house) and Ketu, A8 as well. The AK is weak and hence can be concluded that the person lacks drive and initiative. 2. The Sun (government) is in the 10th house along with Mars (AmK). Sun is conjunct the A6 and aspected by Moon (DK). This is a good configuration, but conjunction of A6 will land him in disputes which will come in his way. Vimshottari Dasha 1. The native will be going thru the dasha of Mars and antar dasha of Jupiter in June of 2014. Mars is the lord of 3rd [equal house system], 8th [equal house system] and 9th [KP System] houses placed in the 10th house with Sun, lord of 12th house. Mars is in the star of Rahu in 6th house and sub of Sun (lord of 12th house) in 10th house. The signification of Sun at the sub lord level is not good for Mars. Jupiter will transit in his own star and sub of Ketu. Ketu in the natal chart signifies 12th house. Retrograde Saturn and Rahu will be transiting over the 2nd house. Mars (lord of 3rd [equal house system] and 8th houses [equal house system]) will transit Lagna. These transits are not conducive for the native. Conclusion The dasha/antar dasha in operation as of June of 2014 is not conducive for the native becoming the PM, thus this possibility is ruled out.
