Principals Message
Student Progress Reports will be sent home on November 12 . The focus of this report is to provide students and parents with an update as to student progress in the middle of the first term. There is a greater emphasis on Learning Skills and Work Habits in these reports. First term Report Cards will be sent home in February. Parent Teacher conferences will be scheduled for the evening of th th November 14 and the morning of November 15 . These meetings are an important opportunity to become informed of your childs progress, areas of strength and goals for improvement. We look forward to seeing you on one of these days. Although we welcome parent volunteers and visitors to the school, it is important that we maintain the safe environment within our building. Parents who are visiting the school during the day are reminded that they should report to the office to sign in and receive a guest pass prior to moving throughout the school. If parents are dropping off items that have been forgotten at home, such as a lunch or school projects, we ask that these items be brought directly to the office and left at our pick-up table rather than interrupting the classroom learning. Students will then be called to the office to collect the item at an appropriate time. As we work to develop independence in our students, we ask parents to say good-bye to children outside of the school and let students walk themselves to class under the supervision of the classroom teacher. We will be holding a Remembrance Day Ceremony on Monday th November 11 beginning at approximately 10:30 a.m. Parents may join us for the ceremony, however, there is limited seating capacity and we ask that if parents attend that you view from back of the auditorium. The safe arrival and care of our students is very important. Parents, if you know your child will be absent, please call our Safe Arrival line at 416-3944710 and leave a message with your childs name, teacher and expected return date. Please be aware that yard supervision begins at 8:35 a.m.
