Moreover our transfer box and chassis have been chosen by IVECO for their Daily 4x4, which are assembled in SCAM premises.

SCAM SPA, founded in 1995 and located in Induno Olona (Varese) Italy, is a highly specialized manufacturer of off-road automotive solutions. SCAM provides a wide range of light tactical vehicles for civil (fire fighting, civil protection, road maintenance, leisure) and customized military applications (support vehicles, ambulances, personal carriers, logistics, radio command, radio communication) up to armoured. Nowadays more than 2.000 vehicles are performing in military missions, security and peace keeping operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, Nigeria, Congo, Lebanon, and are working regularly under hardest conditions. Rigid live (bridge type) axle beam casing with wheels tractions through the central located differential case which can be fully mechanical locked by means of hydraulic force. Single wheel hubs with drum brakes and manual hand brake.

GEARBOX
ZF type with 6 forward gears and 1 reverse gear. Mechanical with synchronized gear meshing

REDUCTION AND TRANSFER CASE

FRAME
The chassis- longitudinal frame type made from two double C central members with highly resistance material. Equipped with sets of cross members to allowed maximum torsion in each driving conditions.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
Power steering pump gear type, driven by engine auxiliary member. Circuit designed for vehicle servo steering and differential locks

FUEL TANK
Standard fuel tank, capacity: 70 litres Additional fuel tank: 100 litres (optional)

SUSPENSIONS
Car-type highly flexible longitudinal parabolic leaf springs at both axles, with double-acting telescopic shock absorbers and stabilizer torsion bars. Especially designed by SCAM to offer: four - wheel drive transmission with differential lock 24 gears, 12 for on road and 12 for off road The first synchronized reduction gear can be engaged while the vehicle is moving to obtain half gears to emphasize the vehicles characteristics. The second reduction gear must be engaged while the vehicle in not running and is mainly used for off-road missions.
