2 PRECAUTIONS
The Figure 3 symbols are defined as follows:
1. (Type 1) Do not insert a torn, folded, or wet
Banknotes, as this action may cause a Banknote
jam inside the Unit.
2. (Type 2) Do not expose the VEGA Unit to rain
water. The Unit contains several precision elec-
tronic devices which can be damaged by water.
3. (Type 3) Do not install the Unit into a dusty
environment. Dust may affect and degrade the
various Sensors performance.
Cauti ons
INSTALLATION CAUTION
1. This equipment is not full warranted for outdoor
use. Be sure that the Host Machine contains
enough protection to avoid wet or dusty
conditions when installing it in both open-air and
indoor spaces.
2. Be sure the Host Machine is designed with
careful consideration for retrieving a Banknote
and/or clearing a Banknote jam.
3. Avoid exposing the Banknote Insertion Slot to
direct Sunlight and/or Incandescent Lamp
illumination having a Gradient Angle of 15
Degrees or more, and an illumination index of
3000 Lux or less. Insure that the Host Machine is
also designed to avoid exposing the Banknote
Insertion Slot to direct Sunlight or incandescent
light contact.
4. Do not allow the Recycler to endure a range of
temperature and humidity beyond the environ-
mental limits specified (See Environmental
Specifications on page 4).
5. Do not use the Recycler when placed in severe
Temperature changing environments.
6. Do not use the Recycler in a place having air born
evaporated or sporadic chemicals.
7. Clean and maintain the Recycler regularly when
located in an excessively smoke filled environ-
ment.
USER CAUTION
1. When closing the Rear Cover of the Recycler,
ensure that it clicks firmly into place.
2. Do not redesign or disassemble the Recycler.
Unauthorized use by inadequately trained person-
nel, or use outside the original manufacturers
intent for operation voids the warranty.
3. Clean the VEGA Recycler Unit once a month to
keep its performance stable.
4. Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swabs to carefully
remove dirt and any Paper powder dust adhering
to the Rollers.
5. Do not replace Banknotes by hand winding them
back into place; allow them to be replaced by the
Units recycling action only.
Handling
1. This product is not securely locked from tamper-
ing. Have internal security management handle
any tampering issues involving the Unit.

Recyclers Rear Cover.
Caution: Turn the VEGA Units Power
OFF when opening the Recyclers Rear
Cover; otherwise, the Rollers may
begin operating and personal injury to
fingers may occur buy getting pulled
into the Unit.
WARNING: Under no circumstances
allow a cleaning cloth to be wet enough
to allow excess fluid to run into the
device; internal printed circuit boards
may be damaged. Do not use any
alcohol, solvents or scouring agents
that can damage the plastic surfaces of
the device.
WARNING: Do not inject water or liquid
agents of any kind into the Recycler; as
this action may cause extreme damage
to the Unit.

2. Do not strike or drop the Cash Box to the ground;
this may cause remounting damage to it.
3. Do not pull hard the winding belts when clearing
Banknote jam, or pull a belt out beyond its limits.
Mounting, Dismounting, Transport
1. Be sure to turn the VEGA Units power OFF
before mounting or dismounting the Recycler
Unit on top of the VEGA Unit.
2. Plugging or unplugging the Recyclers communi-
cations connector while the VEGA Units Power
is ON may also cause damage to the Recycler
Unit.
Unacceptable Banknotes
1. The following Banknote types may not recycle
correctly, or can cause a Banknote jam and/or
damage to the Units Transport path. Banknotes
exhibiting the following conditions shown in
Figure 4 should be avoided:
Torn
Having excessive folds
Dirty
Wet
Having excessive wrinkles
Adhering foreign objects and/or oil.
