For the pressurized oil supply of miniature consumers, e.g. for tensioning and clamping tasks on machine tools and in all types of fixtures
with short duty cycles and subsequent longer standstill periods.
Type FP 12 features a winding protective switch which is not integrated in type FPX 12.
FP(X) 12 fitted with electric motor nN = 2810 rpm

that might occur during maintenance, line or valve replacement. 1.1

from all sides. Compact hydraulic power pack also available without oil tank. Cover plate
design for hanging in customer-furnished tank.
The oil filling absorbs the winding heat of the motor for a short time during the load
cycles and dissipates it into the environment during the standstill intervals.

2.2 Compact hydraulic power pack without direct. control valve for releasing spring clamping cylinders
If it is intended for the FP(X) compact hydraulic power pack to be used exclusively for supplying pressurized oil to spring clamping
cylinders when they are released (e.g. slide or table clamps) and no other additional tasks, it can be designed simply and econom-
ically completely without control valves. The electrical control is also extremely simple. Inside the tank, the pressure line is protect-
ed by a pressure limiting valve with a bypass throttle. As long as the spring clamping cylinders are held in the release
position, the pump runs and feeds back into the tank via the bypass throttle and, possibly, the pressure limiting valve, maintaining
the release pressure in the system. After the release cycle ends, the pump is switched off and the spring clamping cylinders are
emptied via the bypass throttle.

2) Attention: The raised motor speed with power supply 60 Hz (approx. 3400 rpm) will increase the running noise and cause
unsteady delivery when smaller piston diameters are employed.

4.1 Operating temperature
When the FP pump is employed for a work sequence with consecutive cycles, a persistant fluid overtemperature, contrasting with
the ambient temperature prevailing in the more confined area in which the compact hydraulic power pack is installed is reached
after approx. 1 h. If possible, the actual oil temperature as a sum of the two temperatures values should not exceed 70°C. Temper-
atures over 80°C are not permissible. The oil overtemperature depends on the distribution of load and standstill time and on the
power consumption during the load phase.

The graph below is used to make a rough estimation of the expected oil overtemperature. A temperature recalculation is usually
not necessary for duty cycles below 5%, as long as the ambient temperature is about 20°C.
Example:
In a clamping hydraulic circuit, a
FP 12 - H 0,56 (V = 0,38 cm3/rev.) operates in the cycle with
p1 = 50 bar; t1 = 3 s in feed

It follows that:
