Pre‐stage Recall of previous information: students are asked about what

Students are given the lyric of a song called “Every breath you

organizing sentences in simple present tense.

rules that the sentence implies. After that, students are given a
handout so that they can write negative or positive sentences
according to what it is asked.

Pre‐stage know how to make simple questions in English.
Flashcards are presented to students in order that they can
While‐stage figure out how to make questions. Having a simple sentence as
a model, students form short answer questions using the
flashcards, so that they can be answered later.
Once done this, students take turns to make sentences using
the flashcards and to address the questions to any other
classmate that they want.
As a conclusion, the main parts of the questions are identified

They form groups and they are required to make questions as if
they could interview the singers in that moment. They deduct
the answers as if they were the singers.

in that class, and give examples of the question.
While‐stage Using flashcards know by students (plus the new ones with wh
question words) students form questions addressed to the
singers in the whiteboard. They also form questions addressed
to their classmates.
Students develop exercises on the whiteboard related to the
use of wh‐question words and short answer questions.
Post‐stage The exercises are corrected on the whiteboard and students
are required to give their answers at loud.
Students also learn about the “QASI” trick to understand better
the rules on question formation.
