In that folder "ill be a sub% folder named "indo"s. It is easiest if "e add this folder to our 1/!7 en ironment ariable so that the e8ecutable and the .dll files can be found. If #ou alread# kno" ho" to do this, #ou can skip do"n to Install MobileMapper Office !he method for changing the 1/!7 ariable aries for different ersions of 9indo"s, but 9indo"s :1 has been around long enough that I think it is safe to assume most users are on 9indo"s :1 or 9indo"s 2&&&. 7ere are screen shots from 9indo"s 2&&&, the :1 instructions are similar enough that #ou should be able to follo" along. 3lick the 9indo"s Start button, then Settings, then 3ontrol 1anel

!hen select the /d anced tab

3lick the <n ironment =ariables button

If the =ariable alue field has some data in it, go to the end of the current alue, add a semicolon +?,, then t#pe in 3-6magsendtool6"indo"s.

3lick 2@ on all the open "indo"s, and that should do it! You can double check b# going to a command line "indo" and t#ping 1/!7. !he 3-6magsendtool6"indo"s

should appear in the alue. You can also tr# t#ping in the command magsendtool, "hich "ill error because there is A>o input file name.B

3 Extract .shp files with magsendtool

0rom the command line use the cd command to change to the folder that has #our .img map region file. I recommend using a specific director# for this rather than the MapSend e8port director#. In m# e8ample I use 3-6maps. Gun magsendtool "ith the %S option to

e8tract the shp files.

Mikhail Sharono also has some steps for using MM2ffice "ith the MapSend data to create .imi files. !his eliminates the need to create an .img file from MapSend first, and then e8tract the .shp files "ith magsendtool. !hough #ou do still need to run the resulting .imi file that MM2ffice generates through MM2con erter. http-..msh%tools.com.e8ploristmsend.html
