Causes of the French Revolution Document Analysis AIM: How did political, social, and economic factors in France lead to a challenge to the absolute monarch? Do Now: Based on your knowledge of Global Studies, define revolution. DIRECTIONS: 1. In your groups, complete the document analysis for your FOUR assigned documents. 2. As you examine your documents, answer the questions in the graphic organizer using specific evidence from the documents. 3. Then JIGSAW! In your new groups, share out your findings (Two people from your table will join the table next to you and two people from that table will join your group so you can share information). 4. HUNT FOR CAUSES: There are 5 major causes of the French Revolution buried in the documents. Its your job to find them! In your groups, examine the documents again. 5. Find evidence in the documents that identifies the causes. Once you find your evidence, run up to the enlarged document and underline you evidence with a post it. Write in ONE WORD the cause in the margins (Use a post it). This is a race! The first team to identify the 5 causes wins!
