Background

Background
Palm Jumeirah also known as Palm Island is an artificial island designed by HHCP architects in Dubai.

Shape of a Date Palm tree. Shore line increased by 520 Km.

Background

Consists of trunk, 16 fronds, breakwater. Breakwater island extends to 11 Km.

Crown connected by a 300 meter bridge. Island is 5 x 5 Kilometer with area of 800 football pitches. The islands features Themed Hotels, Villas, Apartments, Beaches, Marinas, Retail Outlets.

Background

Background

Construction began in June 2001 and was completed in 2006. Consumed 94 million cubic meters sand
7 million tons of rocks.

Costs 12.3 billion USD.

Favorite Tourist Destination. Climatic Conditions Limited 72 Km coastline. Oil will be replenished Tourism : Alternate source of income.

Project Development Phases: Needs Analysis

Extend Coastline. Sheikh of Dubai wanted it Natural! Use of natural materials, rocks, sand. Heavy Machinery : Dredgers, Drillers, Rollers. GPS satellites
