10th Grade Advisory

Vision, Milestones and Teacher Responsibilities


Vision/Mission: Tenth grade advisory teachers will be proactive advocates in developing young college bound citizens who are academically responsible recreational readers who are committed to the artistic vision of ArTES while building family and community connections. Teacher Roles and Responsibilities Build personal relationships with your students Help your students build relationships as a group Teach in accordance with grade level vision and mission Collaborate with 10th grade advisors Have at least one contact per semester with each parent, positive or negative Maintain red folders o Green and red slips o Parent contacts o Parent Meeting notes o Paperwork o Other Pass folder o to next advisory teacher Be the SLC clearinghouse Be the parent-student-teacher mediator Attend parent meetings Keep iPads safe Ensure students serve detentions Ensure students comply with dress code Ensure students wear lanyards Distribute and collect necessary paperwork Make announcements Promote school events and school spirit Implement the Passport (starting date TBA) Be creative in implementing policies and developing a positive culture

9th Grade Advisory


Vision, Milestones and Teacher Responsibilities
Vision/Mission: The mission of the 9th grade advisory is to introduce the freshmen class to the culture and expectations of ArTES. Our vision is to guide our students to mature, self-disciplined and respectful young adults who understand what it takes to be serious and successful students. They will begin to embody our motto of Student, Citizen, Artist by developing their communication and creative thinking skills. They will attain the social-emotional awareness to resolve conflict, set attainable goals, self advocate and participate positively and productively in our community.
