Control Measures
-Loading and off loading of vehicles will be done by three persons at least at all times due to the weight. _ Hardhats and safety shoes will be worn during loading and off loading of equipment. _ Depending of type of equipment to be off loaded, gloves will be part of PPE. _ Assess the weight of the load and reduce where ever possible. _ Assess the surrounding areas environment and structures. _ Dismantle the equipment / break the load into smaller pieces so that each individual item can be carried safely _ A safe work method for lifting and handling must be agreed and clearly communicated prior to starting the lift. _ There must never be anyone underneath a large load whilst it is being moved between levels -Vehicles will be inspected daily or as prescribed. _ Copies of such inspections must be kept in the vehicle. _ Vehicle driver must be competent and licensed to drive the vehicle. _ Drivers should stop and rest for } 15 minutes every 200 kilometres or after every two [2] hours of driving. _ All Tanzania Fabec personnel and contractors will comply with the Clients 8 absolute rules with regards to driving: _ All persons will wear seat belts at all times whilst travelling in or operate a vehicle; _ Never exceeds the prescribed speed limit; and _ Never make mobile phone calls whilst driving, pull over when it is safe to doso. _ Always wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle

Wearing of suitable PPE for task such as: -Rubber Gloves, Rubber boots, Helmet, Safety glasses, Reflective vests, Overalls -Spill kits -Competent operators for mobile machinery -MSDS to be made available -Site Inductions -Barricading of the area -1st aiders & kits to be made available -Emergency contact details and plan -Risk assessment prior to task Wearing of suitable PPE for task such as: -Rubber Gloves, Rubber boots, Helmet, Safety glasses, Reflective vests, Overalls -Spill kits -Competent operators for mobile machinery -MSDS to be made available -Site Inductions -Barricading of the area -1st aiders & kits to be made available -Emergency contact details and plan -Risk assessment prior to task. -Use of machinery with noise levels less than 80dbs. -Compactor operator to operate at intervals of 4 hours per shift Wearing of suitable PPE for task such as: -Rubber Gloves, Rubber boots, Helmet, Safety glasses, Reflective vests, Overalls -Spill kits -Competent operators for mobile machinery
