FROM THE PASTOR
IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN THERE?
In the Chapel of St. George, in Westminster Abbey, is a memorial of World War II. It consists of four bound volumes that contain the names of the 60,000 civilians who were killed in the city of London by enemy action. One volume lies open on the shrine and a light shines down upon the transcript names that appear on that opened page. Each day a page is turned. Thus will the names of those who were rich or poor, titled or of the common people, old or young, healthy or ill, sound of body or crippled, famous or infamous, stand together to be revealed in the light for all to see as a page of the book is turned each day. It is a book of death. There is another bookthe Book of Life. It is in heaven. In that book, too, will be found the names of men and women from all classes and conditions on earth. All will be in the light, and all will be honored of God. For the Book of Life will reveal, in that coming day, the names of all those who through faith in God and His Christ will have been regenerated from death to life. (Copied)

Funny Feathers How does a duck keep from freezing its tail off in the winter? Ducks have the right feathers to keep them from getting too cold. Today, we will learn that we have a Savior who wants to protect us from the dangers of sin, but we have to accept his protection to keep our hearts safe. Thank you for supporting the Russellville Childrens Ministry.
Reminder: There will be Childrens Christmas Play Practice tonight at 6:00 p.m. ______________ A DAY TO HONOR OUR VETERANS On November 11, 1918, the Germans and the Allied Nations, which included the United States, signed a document to initiate and armistice (cessation of hostilities), thus ending World War I. A year late , President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation designating November 11 as Armistice Day. It was to be a day of reflectiona day to remember those who died in the countrys service and to offer Americans the opportunity to show sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nation. Wanting to recognize more specifically Americas Veterans, Congress passed a bill changing the name of the day from Armistice Day to Veterans Day. The change was made in May 1954. On this national holiday, churches around the nation hold services of prayer and praise. Followers of the Prince of Peace pray for the peace among the nations of Earth.
