BEING A PEDIATRICIAN
For the stem career project I chose a pediatrician. The reason I chose this is because I think it's a great job to earn mone but gi!es ou a great opportunit to help kids in the time o" need. This kind o" doctor treats patients to ne#borns to t#ent $one ear olds% treating patients in!ol!e curing sickness% injuries and dieases% prescibing medicine% tracking gro#th and o!erall help the kids sta health . I" the child is !er ill or has a bad injur and has to go to the hospital% the pediatrician #ho treated them #ill ha!e to !isit the hospital regular to see i" the patient is healing correctl or the de"ect has gotten #orse. & pediatrician can #ork an #here "rom ten hours to thirt $si' hours depending on the t pe o" Pediatrician. There are about thirt di""erent t pes o" pediatricians% a couple include( Pediatrics surgeon% Pediatrics sports medicine specialist% Pediatrics )eonatologist and Pediatrics *ermatologists. +!en though the mone earned is in the higher percent o" jobs% Pediatricians ha!e to lo!e their job. Pediatricians get paid around ,-5%... to ,15.%... a ear% but the current a!erage is ,115%.... /o the a!erage pediatrician #ould get paid around 1.%... a month. 0es% this is a great job but there are some cons about this job too. The bad side o" being a pediatrician is that some kids ou see ou #ill not be able to help% that means there is no cure "or them and sometimes kids #ill pass a#a . &nother con is that ou ha!e to #ork !er long hours% that's hard "or not onl ou but our "amil too.
