T-Swell Packer
The T-Swell Packer is a swelling isolation packer designed to be run in multiple
quantities in a T-Frac multi-zone completion system. It can be run in either open
or cased hole and is suitable for application in vertical, high-angle and horizontal
wells.
The T-Swell packer utilizes a proprietary compound that swells in the presence of
hydrocarbon based fluids. The swell rate is primarily a function of temperature.
The elastomeric element is bonded directly to base pipe to provide the highest
level of pressure holding capability. The durable construction makes it a viable
alternative to inflatable and hydro-mechanical packers.
The T-Swell packer is offered in standard sizes but can be customized to meet
specific well conditions and geometries. The T-Swell packer is suitable for
temperature ranges up to 275 Fahrenheit {135 Celsius}.

Standard element, 225 275 F (107,22 135 C). Higher temperature

PRE-RUN INSPECTION
1. Inspect packing elements for cuts, cracking and shipping damage. DO NOT run if the element is damaged.
2. Confirm upper and lower connections are clean and in good condition.
3. Confirm I.D of mandrel is clean and free of debris.

PRECAUTIONS AND HANDLING
1. Do not lift packer on packing element.
2. Use a lift sub when picking up and laying down packer.
3. Place a back-up on upper end of the mandrel when installing equipment above the packer.
4. Place a back-up on lower end of the mandrel when installing equipment below the packer.

RUNNING PROCEDURE
Run the T-Swell Packer in slowly, maximum speed of 90-ft/min, to setting depth. Install required subs and well head
hook-up to flange up wellhead.
STORAGE
Always store in a dry place out of direct sunlight. Protect packer from other objects falling on the packer. Wrap with
wax paper to prevent corrosion when storing for extended periods.
