The Wine of Babylon

1.What does the Bible declare as being more sure than what we see and hear? 2 Peter 1:16-19, For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were ________ ____ of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we ______, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of ___________; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: NOTE: The Bible tells us that prophecy is more sure than what we see and hear. This is why only those who fortified their minds with the truths of Gods Word will be able to stand in the last great conflict. 1

2.What does the Bible say about literal Babylon? Jeremiah 51:6-7, Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: Be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORDS vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. _______ has been a golden cup in the LORDS hand that made all the earth drunken: the _______ have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are made. NOTE: In other words the nations that drink the wine of Babylon, they go crazy, wine in the Bible; now if Jesus is the vine, then the wine that comes forth from the vine must be what he says; must be his fruit, must be the doctrines. So Babylon has false doctrines. Now were not going to deal with all the false doctrines tonight, were going to look at why the Bible defines this system as Babylon. And were going to go to ancient Babylon in order to do that. 3.How does Babylon fit into Gods end-time messages? Revelation 14:8, And there followed another angel, saying, _________ is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication 4.What will happen to anyone who refuses to leave Babylon? Revelation 16:19, And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his _______.

NOTE: The wrath of God will be poured out on Babylon, and anyone who does not leave it behind. But, the good news is that before God sends judgments, He always sends warning in advance. 5.Who is trapped in spiritual Babylon? Revelation 18:4, And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, ___ ________, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. NOTE: God has sincere believers that are trapped in Babylon, and only the light of truth can help them to escape. The Bible says in Psalm 119:105, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Only the Word of God, can free us from the chains of darkness and superstition. 6.What did the apostle Paul say to the early church? Acts 20:29, For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous ________ enter in among you, not sparing the flock. NOTE: Paul, being a prophet, was shown ahead of time that terrible things would be introduced in the church that would spoil its purity. 7.Did ancient Israel get caught up into the seductive influences of Sun Worship? Ezekiel 8:16, At the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they ____________ 3

the _____ toward the ______. NOTE: So they worshipped the sun, because sun worship is a perfect counterfeit of Messianic worship. So in other words, its easy to substitute the one for the other, put him in the right garb; and apply the right liturgy, and youve got a religion. 8.What does Catholicism say about Paganism? It has often been charged that Catholicism is overlaid with many pagan incrustations. Catholicism is ready to accept that accusation and even to make it her boast The great god Pan is not really dead, he is baptized. The Story of American Catholicism, p. 37. 9.What did Jesus say about repetitive prayers? Matthew 6:7, When ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. NOTE: Jesus condemned the mantras of the pagans. Catholicism today, under another guise engages in the selfsame practice.

MY DECISION FOR JESUS

I see that paganism was brought into the Christian Church, and that it has been perfected by the Roman Church. I also see that God is warning the world to come out of that type of worship, and to follow His leading. I want to come out of Babylon, and accept Gods Word as my only creed. Yes or No
