Find Heating/Cooling Components


The townhouses and duplexes all have forced hot air furnaces. Their air conditioning uses the same air ducts. Both are controlled by a single thermostat on their first floor All units and common space are heated with common hot water pumped through radiators. Each space (apartment units and common space) has at least one radiator loop. Each radiator heat loop is controlled by its own thermostat. The fan switch on these thermostats does not do anything. Each unit has private air conditioners and ducts. The ducts pass through common space to get to the units. Each units air conditioner is controlled by a single thermometer which is separate from any heating thermometers. Common space thermostats and radiator loops are located as follows:

There are two air conditioners for 175 common space. Each system has its own thermostat. The compressors are on the east side of 175. The thermostats and heat exchangers are located as follows:

Furnaces, boilers and pumps are all in the basement furnace room. Riser pipes carry the hot water throughout each building. The hot water is constantly circulating.
