Your appointment in the Bank's service in Clerical cadre

With reference to your online application for the above and subsequent Written Examination
and Personal Interview held thereof, we are pleased to inform you that you are appointed
as CLERK ON PROBATION in our Bank subject to the terms and conditions (as enclosed in
Annex) now in force and as may be amended from time to time by the Management :
Subsequently, you have been permitted to join the Institutional Training
from 12/09/2013 to 21/09/2013 this order takes retrospective effect from 12/09/2013.
1. You will be fixed at the Basic Pay of Rs.8000/- p.m. as applicable to graduates in the time
Scale of pay which is as under.
Rs.7200 - 400/3 - 8400 - 500/3 - 9900 - 600/4 - 12300 - 700/7 - 17200 - 1300/1 - 18500
800/1 - 19300
You will be entitled to Dearness Allowance based on the Cost of Living Index and also other
allowances as applicable to the Clerical Cadre.
2. You are posted to our MULANUR BRANCH.
You will be trained (both institutional / on-the-job ) in one or more branches of the Bank for
a period of SIX MONTHS which may be extended at the discretion of the management.
After completion of Training conducted by IFBI at IFBI COIMBATORE you have to proceed
directly to our MULANUR BRANCH (address given below) and report for On - the - Job Training
on 23/09/2013.

You are eligible to claim the amount of Second Class Sleeper Class Train Fare / Bus
Fare whichever is less for the journey from training center to the reporting Branch / Office by
submitting necessary TA Bill and necessary Proof to your Divisional Office through your Branch / Office.
You may submit the TA Bill after joining duty at the above said Branch /Office
3. Please communicate your acceptance or otherwise for the above offer of appointment
in our Bank
on the said
terms and conditions
by filling up the below mentioned

retransmit it to

reach us on or before 30/09/2013 failing which it
will be presumed that you are not willing to join the Bank and the offer of

ANNEXURE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. You have to furnish us the following particulars/ documents at the time of reporting at branch
(if you have not submitted during the training),
a) Original and Xerox Copies of the following Certificates/Testimonials duly signed by you viz.
i) SSLC/10th Mark Sheet,
ii) +2/Higher Secondary Mark Sheet
iii) Degree and PG - Convocation and Provisional Certificate
iv) Mark Sheets for Degree and PG (for all semesters and Consolidated Mark Sheet)
v) Mark Sheets and Certificate for Computer Qualification and other PG./Diploma
courses etc.

Note: Originals of the same will be returned to you after verification and the copies of
the above certificates only will be retained by the bank
b) Two copies of your latest photograph of passport size, two copies of Stamp size colour
Photograph
c) Character & Conduct certificate of a recent date in original (not earlier than six months)
from atleast 2 respectable persons known but not related to you.
d) A Satisfactory Certificate of relief and good conduct from your previous employer
(original) along with the last drawn salary certificate, if you are already employed. If
not employed a self declaration to that effect should be submitted.
e) Xerox copy of Pan Card .
2. You have to execute a Service Agreement on a Non Judicial Stamp Paper of
requisite value (as applicable to the State in which you are reporting) as per the
proforma enclosed.
3. You should not disclose secrets of the Bank or any information regarding any customer to any
other person. You should maintain utmost secrecy over all official matters and Bank's
transactions and should sign a form in this connection at the time of joining duty.
4. Please note that only after you execute the Service Agreement, submit Xerox copies
of Certificates (Original certificates will be returned to you after verification), Medical Report
and Acknowledgement of this Order as stated above, you will be allowed to join duty.
5. The PROBATION shall be initially for a period of six months which may be extended for a
further period of three months by the Bank at its discretion. Confirmation in the Services of the
Bank will be based on your performance during the probationary period, assessment reports
given by the Branch / Office Heads, your performance in the pre-confirmation personal interview,
etc. During the probationary period, your services are liable to be terminated by the Bank
without assigning any reason whatsoever by one month's notice or payment of a month's
pay and allowances in lieu thereof. If you wish to leave the services during the probationary
period, you will have to give 14 days notice in writing or a week's pay and allowances in lieu of
notice. After confirmation, a month's notice in writing or one month's pay and allowances in
lieu of notice should be given before leaving Bank's employment.

6. Your probationary period will be extended proportionately for the number of days of
Unauthorised Absence or Leave on loss of pay availed if any, during the probationary period.

-27. During the Probation period, you will be eligible for pro-rata Casual Leave and Medical Leave
only i.e. one day Casual Leave and 2 and 1/2 days Medical Leave for every completed
month of service. Privilege Leave can be availed after completion of 11 months of service
subject to leave rules. Eligible Privilege Leave will be credited to your leave account on
completion of one year service from the date of commencement of your probation period.
8. As per the provisions of Para 522 (I) of the Sastry Award applicable to workmen cadre
Employees, the services of any workmen cadre employee may be terminated by the Bank by
giving 3 months notice in writing or payment of 3 months pay and allowances in lieu of notice.
The services of a workman employee on probation may be terminated by giving one month
notice or on payment of a months pay and allowances in lieu of notice.
9. You have to enrich your knowledge about the Banks procedure and policies by constantly reading
the Circulars and Manual of instructions. The same can be viewed in the following

10. During your probationary period, you have to undergo Knowledge Updation tests if any
conducted by the Bank and you have to attend pre-confirmation personal interview for your
confirmation in the services of the Bank.
11. Your confirmation in the Bank is subject to your satisfactory performance during the
probationary period /satisfactory Assessment Report from the Branch / Office Head and the
confirmation may not be claimed as a matter of routine or right.
12. You shall be bound by the rules and regulations of the Bank governing the Award employees
from time to time. Your acceptance of this order carries with it your agreement to obey such
rules, regulations and standing orders
13. You will have to work in any of the Offices / Branches / Departments of the Bank as the Bank
may post you. You are liable to be posted/transferred to any branch/office of the Bank now in
existence or that may be opened in future and may be shifted to any section or given
assignments as the Bank may think necessary.
14. You have to carry out such duties as may be allotted to you from time to time including handling
of cash, attending to godowns, Marketing, Concurrent Checking and typing etc.
15. a)You will be governed by the Defined Contributory Pension Scheme for which y
our contribution of 10% of Basic pay and DA will be recovered every month from the
salary payable to you commencing from the month following the month in which you join the
services of the Bank, subject to modifications, if any, in the settlement in this regard.
b)There will be a matching contribution by the Bank from the probation period to the
said
Defined Contributory Pension Scheme every month, as long as you continue in the service
of the Bank.
c)As you are compulsorily covered under the Defined Contributory Pension Scheme, you will
neither be covered under Provident Fund rules of the Bank nor under the Karur Vysya Bank
Employees (Pension Scheme). In other words, you will neither be eligible for PF benefits nor
for defined Pension. However, you will be covered under Defined Contributory
Pension
Scheme, as stated above.

-3d) If you have already obtained PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) from NSDL, you
are advised to submit a photo copy of same to us along with required application (Application
available in HR.COM downloads others Form- ISS-1).
e) If you are not having PRAN, you are advised to submit enclosed application for PRAN
(Permanent Retirement Account Number) along with required enclosure to our Department within
10 days after joining in the branch / office. In this regards, Please refer our Circular No, 220/2012
(HRD 43) dated 10.05.2012.
f) Only after receiving photo copy of your PRAN / PRAN application from you, the monthly salary
(following the month in the month which you have joined in the bank) will be claimed for you.
g) If you leave the services of the Bank without submitting PRAN application, the amount
recovered from your salary towards Defined Contribution Retirement Benefit Scheme only be
settled to you.
16. You will be entitled to your first increment in the scale of pay only on completion of one
year of service subject to your confirmation in the services of the bank, as per rules of the
bank.
17. You should devote your whole time and attention to the development and growth of the Bank.
18. If any of the conditions stipulated above remains unfulfilled, you are liable for termination
from the services of the bank, without any notice therefor.
19. In case of acceptance you may report for duty at your own cost on 23/09/2013 .
20. This order of appointment will stand automatically cancelled if your acceptance of
appointment on the duplicate of this order does not reach the undersigned before
30/09/2013 and also if you do not report for duty on the date mentioned in Clause 18 above.
21. Any litigation / dispute regarding this appointment is subject to the jurisdiction of court at Karur.

you are advised to obtain above said application Form ISS-1 along with a photo copy of his/her
PRAN from the employee and send the same to us.
