Taking Decision based on Analysis

Why Recruit Internationally?
Countries with low population growth and fast developing economy, require large numbers of professionals, that is why in few regional cities we may find up to %95 of the population are foreign workers.

Can I depend on recruiting foreign workers who are on visit?

Not really because visitors are not enough to accommodate big projects which requires large number of workers at one time. also visitors are normally less patient on visa processing because of their visa time limitation, so they could be less reliable.

Can we Recruit from Local Population?

Yes and it could ease your legal recruitment needs and it is much recommended because of the adaptability and understanding of the local market even if the hiring cost is higher. But the low number of local population may make it difficult task to attract enough local skills for your needs and in many cases you cant find local applicants for certain vacancies, but it is much recommended to recruit as many locals applicants as possible.

I am a professional HR but new in recruiting internationally for the region and need help to recruit for new openings. How do I recruit? where do I go? How can I get help in understanding the right destinations for my requirements and the legal requirements in each country to conduct interview?

Recruiting internationally is a real hard task, if it is not being organized by an expert in the destination country of sourcing, and may cause disappointment if not done professionally. Arabian Centers consultants operate recruitment trips in 28 countries, implementing strong understanding of those countries legal regulations and established or developed a strong chain of own offices which can make the recruitment process even in the most complicated destinations, a headachefree process for the employer. We recommend you to visit www.VIPHRClub.com where you can find lots of information about labor law and recruiting in the region.

International Recruitment Guide 2009 and 2010

Where to Recruit?

In the next few pages we will try to provide a brief information about recruiting internationally, the major sourcing countries, and giving you information on how can we help to ease the process in those destinations:

What Agency should I use?

When you choose an agency, you are targeting to achieve the following: 1. The agency should have good data to make sure that you achieve your target recruitments on time. 2. You need to make sure that the agency is reputable and doesnt charge any fees from jobseekers because quality candidates will not pay and will not apply in agencies who charge. 3. Also if the agency ask you for low fees then you need to ask How are they earning?, Are they getting fees from candidates? If yes, then Will that save you money when you pay the agency less? For sure you will be paying more in the end because: 1 you will not be presented with the best candidates and that can affect productivity. 2 you may expect lots of cancelations before travelling which is expected due to failure of the candidates to pay the agency fees. This will waste your visa cost which is normally more than the recruitment fees itself and cause you problems with your operations for not having the required number of manpower for the projects. 4. You need to check the references and history of the agency to make sure they provide professional services with consideration of the above mentioned issues. 5. You need to make sure that your local agency in your country is under the same ownership of the agency you are using in the destination country to make sure that information will be transparent between them to avoid delay and cancelations. 6. Make sure that they are licensed to recruit because in many countries, illegal recruitment is persecuted by the state and may cause you physical and legal problems with authorities.

Where to Recruit?
In choosing the country you have to consider:
1. What skills I need to find? 2. Do I need my recruits to speak certain languages? 3. What my customers/ clients expect to see about the quality of staff in my company? 4. Are the skills I need available in the sourcing country? 5. If I choose a country, then; is the salary I am offering acceptable in this country for the same level of skills I am aiming to source? Am I allowed to recruit from this country? Does this country allow its citizens to travel abroad? Is there any legal procedure I need to follow to secure the legality of my work and achieving the result?

How should I start?

Plan the manpower needs of your company. How many do you need from each country for each position? When do you need the new recruits to plan the time of each trip? How long does it takea me to achieve the visas and documentations in both countries country of source and country of destination. The proper notice time I need to give to the agency to arrange for my trip taking in consideration the number needed and the level of skills I need. Providing the agency with clear job descriptions of each vacancy to make sure that I find the right quality of candidates on the time of interview (Successful Screening).

Romanian
Experienta de Cooperare cu Guvernele Locale: Experienta noastra a inceput in Marea Britanie si s-a dezvoltat prin deschiderea primului nostrum oficiu in Orientul Mijlociu in anul 1999.
