4.1 Cabinet Installation Space Requirements
Space requirements for overlaying installation:

Space requirements for side-by-side installation:

100mm~500mm

When the cabinets are installed side by side, the space between the cabinets should be 100 - 500 mm.

4.2 Cabinet Top Cover Installation


It is required to install top covers for the cabinets in a non-overlaying installation or for the cabinet on top of an overlaying installation. 1. 1. Place the top cover on top of the cabinet.

2 4 M12 2. Fasten the top cover with four M12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided with steel washers.

4.3 Cabinet Base Fastening

1. Place the base to a proper position as per design requirements, and then determine the hole drilling positions for the 4 expansion bolts.

2. 16mm 80mm 2. Drill holes of 16 mm in diameter and 80 mm in depth on the determined hole positions. Strike the expansion bolts vertically into the holes, until they are flush with the ground.

3. Put the M12 screws through cabinet base, insulation washer, flat washer, spring washer and nuts in turn, and then fasten the base on the ground.

4.4 Installing a Cabinet to Its Base


12 +2 M12 RC8910A Installation Method 1: Two dowel pins & two M12 inner hexagon screws (used to fasten the RC8910A cabinet to its base)

M8 Dowel pin: M8 inner hexagon screws are used to fasten it to the base.

M12 M12 screws, provided with rubber washers, are used to fasten the cabinet to its base.

1. Use two M8 inner hexagon screws to fasten the dowel pin to the back of the base, on which holes are provided holding pin installation. Note that the dowel pins must be installed vertically to the base; or else, it will be difficult to install the cabinet.

2Place the RC8910A cabinet on the base, and push it backwards steadily, until the dowel pins are inserted in the fixing holes completely, and the sides of cabinet should align to those of the base. Be careful not to get hurt while pulling the cabinet because the cabinet may slide out of the base.

4. 3. 2 M12 3. Use two M12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided with rubber washers, to fasten the cabinet to the base.

Use the door holder to get the cabinet door secured while installing the cabinet and cables.

24 M12 BC8910A/PC8910A Installation Method 2: Four M12 inner hexagon screws (used to fasten the BC8910A/RC8910A cabinet to its base)

1. M12 1. In the four bottom corners of the battery cabinet, use M12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided with rubber washers, to fasten the battery cabinet to the base.

In the four bottom corners of the BBU cabinet, use M12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided with rubber washers, to fasten the BBU cabinet to the base or the RFS cabinet.

2. 2. Install the bottom plate of battery to its original position after the battery cabinet is fastened to the base.

4.5 Cabinet Overlapping

Before one cabinet is overlaid on another cabinet, remove the cable trough cover plates (on both sides) and the cable hole cover plates (in the middle) on top of the cabinet.

1 1. Remove the screw that fastens the cable trough cover plate and then remove the cover plate.

2. 2. Remove the four screws that fasten the cable hole cover plate inside the cabinet and then remove the cover plate.

3. M12 3.Use four M12 inner hexagon screws, which are provided with rubber washers, to fasten the upper cabinet to the lower one, through the screw holes on the four bottom corners of the cabinet.

4 4. Remove the cable hole cover plates from the bottom of the upper cabinet.

6. 5. 5. Fasten the cable hole assemblies to the positions, where cable hole cover plates are removed.

6. Secure the screws on the four corners of the cable hole assembly to fasten the cable hole assembly to the lower side of the cable hole.

7. 7. Fasten the cable hole assemblies to the cable holes with the screws that previously fasten the cable hole cover plates.

The cable hole assembly must be installed securely and tightly, or else, water may soak through the cabinet. Cabinet overlaying is completed. Note: You must install a top cover to the cabinet prior to the cabinet overlaying.

Fastening and overlaying of cabinets are completed.

NOTE:

1. BC8910A 4 M12 1. If there is a heater in the BC8910A, remove the screws which fasten the heater, then pull out the heater (Dont remove the power cable of the heater), and finally fasten four M12 screws.

2. BC8910A 2U 4 M12 2. If the BC8910A cabinet is fully configured before ex-works, you need to remove the assemblies in the 2U above the heater, then install the four M12 screws.

5. Module Installation
5.1 BC8910A Module Installation in BC8910A Cabinet

BC8910A

For the BC8910A cabinet, the power monitoring module (the right module in the red box) and the rectifier module are required to be installed on site.

1. Insert the power monitoring module smoothly to the far right slot, until the external side of the module is flush with the shelf. Fasten the captive screw on the lower part of the module to fasten the module.

2. To insert the rectifier module, lift the handle on the lower part of the module, and then insert the module to the corresponding slot smoothly, until the external side of the module is flush with the shelf, then release the handle.

5.2 RC8910A Module Installation in RC8910A Cabinet

The RC8910A cabinet can accommodate 6 RSU82 modules. After the RSU82 modules are installed, connect the RSU82 power cables to the RSU82 power ports. The RSU82 power cables are already routed to their respective slots.

RSU82 RSU82 RSU82 Align the protruding edges on the upper and lower sides to the guiding tracks of RSU82 slot and then push the RSU82 in to the slot smoothly.

2 RSU82 3 M5X20 RSU82 RSU82 RSU82 2. Fasten the RSU82 with 3 M5X20 screws respectively on upper and lower sides. Note that the power port is located at the lower side. Fasten the grounding plate together with the middle screw on lower side of the RSU82.

5.3 PC8910A Battery Installation in PC8910A Cabinet

Tidily place the battery packs in the PC8910A cabinet, with the electrodes facing outside. When 4 battery packs are configured, place them at the lower shelf; and when 8 battery packs are configured, load both upper and lower shelves with 4 battery packs respectively.
6.1.2

Note: The relevant cables must be well routed before the battery packs are loaded, or else, it is difficult to route them. Refer to 6.1.2 for details.

If only 4 battery packs are installed, the insulated layer on the terminals of unused battery cables must be reserved.

6. Cable Connections
6.1 B121 Cable connection
between BC8910A (B121 Power Supply) and PC8910A (Internal Cables)

6.1.1 Making Preparations

1. BC8910A 1. Remove the waterproof rubber plugs from both sides of the BC8910A cabinet.

2. 2. Route all the cables through the cable holes and keep them in place.

3. 3. Insert different cables through different holes of waterproof rubber plugs, depending on their diameters.

4. 4. Re-install the waterproof rubber plug.

5. 5. Use the ring spanner provided in the RFS cabinet to remove the screw that fasten the cable trough cover plate, open the cable trough cover, install the required cables and then reinstall the cover.

6. 6. There are two cable holes on the left and right sides of the battery cabinet bottom. A waterproof plug is covered on the top of the cable hole. Remove the waterproof plugs before routing cables, and re-install the waterproof plugs after cable routing is done.

Precautions for Routing Cables A. 1/2/3 Cables 1, 2, and 3 are routed in the battery cabinet through the cable holes on the left side at the bottom of the battery cabinet. B. 4 Cable 4 goes into the battery cabinet through the cable hole on the right side of bottom of battery cabinet. Note that the plugs at both sides of cable hole should be kept in original positions after the cable is routed through. C. Protective tubes must be provided for the cables routed between cabinets. The length of protective tube should ensure that no cable is exposed. The ends of protective tubes should be sealed with adhesive tapes D. 1/2/3/4 1/2/3 4 Cables 1, 2, 3, and 4 go through the external cable trough at the right side of RFS cabinet and then enter inside the BBU cabinet. The cables should be fastened via the cable fastening holes of the cable trough with the white cable ties, with cables 1, 2, and 3 separating from cable No. 4. Note that the cables should be fastened flat on the cable trough, or else, the cable trough cover plate can not be installed. Cable Connections: 1. Connect the power cable of fan to the fan power port on the left wall of battery cabinet 2. Remove the protective paper on the probe of battery temperature transducer and stick the probe to the battery surface. 3. Connect the access control cable to the access control cable port on the upper right of the battery cabinet. 4. Connect the battery power cable to the power switch on top of the battery cabinet. Battery power cable connection: V2.4 PC8910A Connecting the BAT cables of V2.4 PC8910A V2.4 PC8910A BC8910A / 1. PC8910A BAT+ 2. PC8910A BAT- There are one red cable and one black cable (BAT)between V2.4 PC8910A and BC8910A. 1. Connect the red cable to the BAT+ of PC8910A. 2. Connect the black cable to the BAT+ of PC8910A.

PC8910A 1. N 2. L Power cables of the heater of PC8910A: 1. Connect the blue cable to the N port (the fourth terminal from top down). 2. Connect the brown cable to the L port (the second terminal from top down).

Fasten two screws of the panel.

Connecting the temperature cable of the battery

1. 1. Remove the two screws from the cover of monitor port.

For details about how to connect other monitoring cables, refer to the connection instructions beside the monitoring cable input ports. 4. After cable connections are done, the cables should be tidily and tightly fastened via cable fastening holes on the side wall and bottom of cabinet. 5. Reinstall the cover.

6.1.3 Cable Connection in BC8910A

Connect the B121_Load3_-48V labeled terminal of fan power cable to the Load3 terminal of LLVD2 of B121 power supply, and the B121_Load3_-48VRTN labeled terminal to the power ground bar at the right side of BBU cabinet. 2. Connect the temperature sensor cable of the battery to the X1/X2 port. 3. The TEC/DOOR port of BBU cabinet provides a two-in-one cable, which has two connectors labeled as TEC and DOOR respectively. Connect the access control cable to the DOOR connector. 4. Connect the black wire of battery power cable to the BATT1/2 -48V port, and the red wire to the BATT1/2 -48VRTN port. 5. Connect the battery cable to the AC-OUT port of B121. After cable connections are done, the cables should be tidily and tightly fastened via cable fastening holes on the side wall and bottom of cabinet.

6.2 B121 Cable connection

6.2.1 Connection Preparation

1. Fasten the cable hole assembly with screws in even strength.

Routing Cables

1. 1/2 Run cables 1 and 2 into the BBU cabinet through the cable hole on the left side of the BBU cabinet. 2. 3 Run cable 3 into the BBU cabinet in two bundles through the cable holes on the left and right sides of the BBU cabinet. High speed cable labeling and grouping 1. 0~5 BBU TX0RX0~TX5RX5 0~2 3~5 Stick a label to each end of a high-speed cable. Each label must be marked with a specific number ranging from 0 to 5, which is used to match TX0 RX0 to TX5 RX5. Run cables 0 through 2 from the right cable-through hole to the BC8910A. Run cables 3 through 5 from the left cable-through hole to the BC8910A.

6.2.2 Cable Connection

6.3.2 Cable Connection

6.4.1 Connection Preparation

123 4 Structure: The waterproof module is made up of vertical slider (1), horizontal slider (2), cable-through plug (3) and plug (4). Principles:

1 The vertical slider exerts pressure downwards with the screw screwed up. 2 The horizontal sliders exert pressure to two sides with the downward pressure from the vertical slider to press the cable-through plug, making it closely contact the cable in the cable-through hole, thus waterproof measure is achieved.

To remove the waterproof module, you only need to remove the screw in the middle of the vertical slider.

6.4.2

RF Jumper Cable Connection

3 2T4R RSU82 3 1T2R RSU82 Three RF jumper cables of 2T4R RSU82 go through the waterproof module on the right; and three (3) RF jumper cables of 1T2R RSU82 go through the waterproof module on the left. 1. RSU82 ANT1~4 2T4R RSU82 1T2R ANT1(TX1/RX1A) ANT2(RX1B) 1. As per the sequence from right to left, connect the RF jumper cables to ports ANT 1~4 of RSU82. If the 2T4R RSU82 uses 1T2R only, connect the jumper cables to the ANT1 (TX1/RX1A) port and ANT2 (RX1B) port.

2. 2 2. Install the corresponding waterproof plugs in position when every two RF jumper cables are connected.

3. 3. When the jumper cables that are required to go through this waterproof module are connected and their waterproof plugs are installed in position, insert the horizontal sliders.

4. 4. Insert the vertical slider, and then fasten it to the maximum extent with a hexagon spanner.

5. 3 1T2R RSU82 5. Install the three RF jumper cables of the 1T2R RSU82 on the left in the same way.

6. 6. Note that the waterproof plugs should be tightly pressed. The cable holes that are not used should have their plugs in position.

7. 7. Use the internal adjusting screw to adjust the cable outlet plate at the cabinet base so that the opening size is minimized.

8. 8. After all cables are connected, reinstall the front plate of the cabinet base.

NOTE:

PC8910A RC8910A There is a dust network in the base of PC8910A and RC8910A.

1. 1. Put the dust screen in the front of the base.

Procedure for Connecting Internal Cables between the BC8910A (B900) and the PC8910A 1. Connect the fan cable.

a. B900 Unscrew and then de-attach the metal cover from the B900.

b. Connect the power cable.

a. Run the power cable from the cable trough on the left side of the RC8910A to the BC8910A through the waterproof module on the lower left of the BC8910A. Connect the power cable.

b. B900 BATT input-48V +3 Connect the blue power cable to the BATT input (-48V) port. Connect the red power cable to the + 3 port.

Cable 4 goes into the battery cabinet through the cable hole on the right side of bottom of battery cabinet. Note that the plugs at both sides of cable hole should be kept in original positions after the cable is routed through. 3. Protective tubes must be provided for the cables routed between cabinets. The length of protective tube should ensure that no cable is exposed. The ends of protective tubes should be sealed with adhesive tapes. 4. Cables 1, 2, 3, and 4 go through the external cable trough at the right side of RFS cabinet and enter inside the BBU cabinet. The cables should be fastened via the cable fastening holes of the cable trough with the white cable ties, with cables 1, 2, and 3 separating from cable 4. Note that the cables should be fastened flat on the cable trough, or else, the cable trough cover plate can not be installed. : 1. 2. 3. 4. Cable Connections: 1. Remove the protective paper on the probe of battery temperature transducer and stick it to the battery surface. 3. Cable Connections 1. Connect the BC8910A_B201_LLVD2_5 labeled terminal of fan power cable to the No. 5 terminal of LLVD2 of B201 power supply, and the BC8910A_-48VRTN labeled terminal to the power ground bar at the right side of BBU cabinet. 2. Connect the temperature sensor cable of the battery to the X4 port. 3. The TEC/DOOR port of BBU cabinet provides a two-in-one cable, which has two connectors labeled as TEC and DOOR respectively. Connect the access control cable to the DOOR connector. 4. Connect the black wire of battery power cable to the port of BATT Input switch No. 1, and the red wire to the power grounding bar at the right side of BBU cabinet. 5. A is the power grounding bar. 6. After cable connections are done, the cables should be tidily and tightly fastened via cable fastening holes on the side wall and bottom of cabinet.

6.9 B201 Cable connection between BC8910A B201 and RC8910A (Internal Cables) 6.9.1 Connection Preparation

1. B201 1. Remove the screws on the four corners of B201 power switch cover plate, and then remove the plate. Note that the plate has switch numbers printed.

3. 3 A 0~5 BBU FS TX0RX0~TX5RX5 B RSU82 TX1RX1 3. Connect A ends of cables No.3 to the ports TX0RX0 ~ TX5RX5 of BBU FS boards as per the number sequence from 0 to 5. Connect B ends to the RSU82 TX1RX1 ports. There will be some cables connected to switches of BBU cabinet before ex-works. Make sure that these cables are not loosened during the installation on site.

After cable connections are done, the cables should be tidily and tightly fastened via cable fastening holes on the side wall and bottom of cabinet.

B201 4 N L1L2L3 The B201 power supply input cable provides four wires, in colors of blue, red, brown and black. Connect the blue wire to the N-type connector, and the red, brown and black wires to the L1, L2 and L3 connectors respectively.

2. If only three RSU82s are installed in PC8910A cabinet, the unused slots will have dummy panels installed in factory. Install the three RSU82s to the slots that are not covered on site.

7. Installation Check
7.1 Cabinet Installation Check
SN 1 Item The cabinet reliably fixed, with insulation washers, spring washers and flat washers correctly installed. The waterproof modules should be tightly installed and the unused cable holes should have their plugs in position. The installation space satisfies requirements. 7.2 Cable Connection Check


SN 1 Item The protection grounding wires of the equipment are properly installed to the nearest copper grounding busbar. Before connecting protection grounding wires, rust or dust should be removed from the surface of the grounding terminal to ensure reliable connection. The naked wires and the copper lugs of power cables or grounding wires should be covered with a tube or wrapped with insulation tape. The copper lug should match the cable. The power cables and grounding wires should be correctly and firmly connected in terms of polarity. When the copper lug of a cable is connected to a terminal, flat washer and spring washer should be used and the spring washer should be pressed flat. The extra part of the grounding wires or power cables should be smoothly cut off rather than coiled. A whole cable segment with good insulation layer should be used. Do not join two or more cables. 5cm All cables (power cables, signal cables and pigtails) should be bound and laid by classification, with a minimum parallel distance of 5 cm. 300700mm The cables should be evenly and firmly bound on the cable tray, with an interval ranging from 300 mm to 700 mm. The cables or pigtails inside and outside the cabinet should not hang in the air. The bending radius of a cable should meet the requirement.
