Our goal: design a pump stage that generates more head than any existing stage in the industry. We achieved our goal and much more.

Synergy of Design and Manufacture

Working together, our design engineers and manufacturing engineers enhanced the manufacturing process to yield the most consistent performing stage design available. Further Centurion Advantages Higher head per stage allows shorter pumps to produce the same amount of fluid for a given application. More head per stage also can result in fewer requirements for tandem pumps. Fewer tandem connections mean faster installation time and fewer parts. This saves money and time and extends run life.

Standard Pump Head and Intake Features Intake 4.0 in. and 5.38 in. housing, sealed on the thickest part of the wall, combined with buttress threads provide a 5,627 psi burst pressure.
PSS (Particle Swirl Suppression) technology is also incorporated to minimize erosive wear in the diffuser.

Dual O ring seals protect threads. The 400 series features an 1116-in. shaft in standard pumps and a 78-in. shaft in HV stages. The 538 series has a 78-in. and a 1316-in. shaft. Nitronic material is standard, Monel and Inconel optional. Captured intake bearing; Ni-Resist standard, tungsten carbide optional. SAE six-tooth spline mates to all existing seals. Bolt pattern matches all existing seals. Head Bolt pattern matches all existing pumps and discharge heads. SAE six-tooth spline mates to all existing pumps. Upper end of all shafts are splined to field test rotation. Multiple O ring seals to protect threads. Captured bushing in upper bearing. Ni-Resist standard, tungsten carbide optional.

In addition to more head per stage, Centurion has larger vane openings in both the impeller and the diffuser. As a result, Centurion stages are less likely to plug when pumping sand or fluids that produce scale.

Superior stage design affords improved machining techniques and a cleaner finish on machined parts ensures consistent dimensions that translate into uniform performance characteristics.

Stabilized Normal Duty (SND) For wells where mildly abrasive conditions are present. Wear-resistant Tungsten Carbide bearings in the intake, discharge and one bearing in the middle of the pump stack.
Diffusers with Particle Swirl Suppression (PSS) ribs reduce sand cutting damage.

SHD

Stabilized Heavy Duty (SHD) For wells where moderately abrasive conditions are present and radial support is required. Tungsten Carbide bearings in the intake and discharge are highly resistant to abrasive wear.
Additional Tungsten Carbide bearings throughout the stack (based on L/D ratio*). Diffusers with Particle Swirl Suppression (PSS) ribs reduce sand cutting damage.

Stabilized Severe Duty for Mixed Flow Stages (SSD) For wells where highly abrasive conditions and high flow rates are present, requiring downthrust protection. Patented Tungsten Carbide flanged sleeve and pedestal decrease rotational wear. Spacing is based either on L/D ratio or thrust capacity.

Stabilized eXtreme Duty for Radial Flow Stages (SXD) For wells where highly abrasive conditions are present. Patented Silicon Carbide down thrust modules with Tungsten Carbide radial bearings are highly resistant to abrasive wear. Modules are spaced based on L/D ratio.
