BACKGROUND / DEVELOPMENTS
Sable Company Master Stabler Devin Jeri took the bastard son of his younger sister Deidra into his household. The young half-elf was the result of a romance between her and one of the Mierani enclaves men. The father has provided well for his child, but did not want to be named or otherwise be made responsible (except for the money, from which a not so small amount was waiting for the boy to grow up including an old double bladed weapon). Deidra was there for the first 3 years before she married and moved away, leaving the jolly toddler behind. Young Garoen was quick on his feet and with his hands, could never leave anything alone and always played around in the stables pretending to be a heroic hippogryph rider. When he was a child the intelligent hippogryphs let him play around but when he got older they somehow did not like his company very much. He really had to take care not to get scratched or picked on by the formidable beasts, when he did his shores in the stables. Once he was not quick enough ducking a claw to his head and bears the scar from cheek to collarbone as a witness. He started his ranger training really early in the academy but could not really stick to the rules. Always seemed to be there, where the trouble was and had issues strictly following orders. On several occasions he slipped out into the underworld (The Shingles, or xxxxx) to go on an adventure. But it did not turn out well for him after a while he was addicted to Shiver, one of the common drugs in the city. It took him a while to get rid of its poisonous influence and the company of these so called new friends. In this time, where his nights were his days, he learned a few traits from the rogues he ran around with. (1 level rogue). His (foster-)father just could stop his nightly ventures before he would be a visitor to their own jail or the drugs would send him to another plane forever.
