About two weeks ago, I was at home and my brother in-law came over to visit. This is not anything new because he comes to visit every other day. My brother in-law is not a church person has he says and he do not believe in tithing. He stated that God does not care about him, so why should he go and worship a God that does not care. When I asked why he felt that way: Brother In-law: God not done anything for me but make my life difficult and all the show called Christians I know are judgmental. The only Christian know that actually cared for me is my grandmother Me: Well, if you ask me God do care about you. All your years of being in a gang you have been shot, when you were accused of robbery you were proven innocent. Look when you moved out here you did not have a job or in college. Now you have both, how many people from your neighborhood can say this For Psalms 91:4 says, He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Brother In-law: Hardly anyone from my neighborhood can say that. Either majority of them are either dead or in jail. Me: God did that. Your grandmother was your covering, but God had his hands of protection around you. He has a plan for you, but you need to get on your knees and ask God to show you. In order for you to receive his grace, mercy and blessing you have to first repent for your sins and then ask God to reveal to you what he wants you to do. Brother In-law: I understand, but why should I give the church my money? Why should I give my money to people who are judgmental? Me: You cannot worry about other people, The relationship that you have with God is between you and him. For John 12:1, says Do not let your hearts be troubled.. Malachi 3:8-10 says, Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, In what way have we robbed

You? In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, [Even] this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this, Says the LORD of hosts, If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. Me: I am not perfect neither is anyone else. The church is like a hospital and every there is there for spiritual healing. You have to work on you relationship with God. What others do will not affect your blessing, but what you do will. Then my brother in-law and I prayed. And the following Sunday, he went to church paid his tithes and joined the church. We are taking his walk in Christ one day at a time. I told him that once he commit to Christ then the devil will start to attack him more, so he has to stay on his knees and in his bible. He has to build up his spiritual strength to fight this spiritual war.
