Distilled Water Myths

If you have done your research on distilled water, you have probably arrived here confused and broken, and unsure of whom to believe. Not that you should put anymore trust in us, a company that SELLS water distillers, but we will try to clear up some of the (mis)information that is out there. !irst, we think it"s important for you to know that we did not choose to sell water distillers because of a hi#h demand for them. $e chose to sell them because we personally use them, believe in them, and believe it"s important to share the products and information with other health conscious consumers. (ut we had an advanta#e. $e had already #rown familiar with )r. *yron $ent+, founder of ,ull Laboratories, -sana .ealth Sciences and Sanoviv *edical Institute. / well respected scientist and leader in his field, )r. $ent+ 0N'$S what he is talkin# about when it comes to cellular health and nutrition. $e had learned that )r. $ent+ promoted drinkin# distilled water, so much so that he provided water distillers /& 1'S& to his distributors in the past. 2erhaps you are wonderin# what in the world I am talkin# about...you"ve never heard anythin# bad about distilled water, and this is new to you. 2erhaps you have been drinkin# distilled water for years and you are now #ettin# worried% (ut don"t worry...here are some myths bein# perpetuated on the internet, and the truths behind them3 MYTH: Distilled water is an active absorber and when it comes into contact with air, it absorbs carbon dioxide, making it acidic. &4-&.3 &here is no scientific basis for this, and there is no documentation available with this claim. If it $E4E true, drinkin# somethin# that"s acidic does not cause an acidic state in your body. Since you should also be concerned with your intake of calcium and ma#nesium, rest assured that these minerals, alon# with other alkaline foods, help to alkali+e the body and brin# balance. MYTH: Cooking oods in distilled water !"lls the minerals o"t o them and lowers their n"trient val"e. &4-&.3 1ookin# any foods lowers the nutrient value, especially when cookin# in water and drainin# the water. Steamin# is preferred, as is cookin# food where the water will remain with the food (and for this you should definitely use distilled). )istilled water is not particularly more leachin# than any other type of water. (I didn"t call the other manufacturers 3o) &he water used in soft drinks is the last

MYTH: Distilled water leaches minerals rom o"r bones and cells, and ca"ses mineral de iciencies beca"se it lacks the minerals o"nd in other ty!es o water. !/1&3 It is true that distilled water can leach inor#anic minerals, but since it is neutrali+ed once in#ested, this concept does not apply to human health. (ut the problem is, there are 5ust as many, if not more, testimonies !'4 distilled water. $e have been drinkin# it e7clusively in our home for about a year, and my nails are not brittle and my hair is not thinnin#% &he truth is, drinkin# distilled water and consumin# nutritious foods and supplements will only produce a healthy body. If people think they are havin# problems with distilled water, there is no way to tell if they are simply not consumin# enou#h nutrients or have other problems, such as hormone imbalance. &he fact that they blame the distilled water does not mean scientifically that the distilled water is causin# their symptoms. &he fact is that the most pure water possible in your home comes from a home distiller.
