1) CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

Means used to enforce these standards of conduct which are deemed necessary to protect individuals and to maintain general community well-being. It is aso defined as The machinery of the state or government which enforces the rules of conduct necessary to protect ife and property and maintain peace and order.

2) JUSTICE

The quality of being just,conformity to the principles of righteousness and rectitude in all things,strict performance of moral obligations,practical conformity to human or divine law,integrity in the dealing of men with each other;rectitude;equity;uprightness.

3) LAWS

A binding custom or practice of a community;a rule of conduct or action prescribed or formally recognized as binding or enforced by acontrolling authority. A rule or order that it is advisable or obligatory to observe.

4) ORDINANCE

Is a law passed by a municipal government.A municipality,such as a city ,town,village, or borough,is a political subdivision of a state within which a municipal corporation has been established to provide local government to a population in a defined area.

5) CRIMINAL LAW

That branch of municipal law which defines crimes,treat of their nature and provide for their punishment. It is that branch of public substantive law which defines offenses and prescribed their penalties.It is substantive because it defines the

states right to inflict punishment and the liability of the offenders.It is public law because it deals with the relation of the individual with the state.

6) JURISPRUDENCE

Is a science or philosophy of law.Jurisprudence may be divided into three branches:analytical,sociological,and theoretical. ANALYTICAL-defines terms,and prescribes the method that best enable one to view the legal order.As an internally consistent,logical system. SOCIOLOGICAL-examine the actual effects of the law within society and the influence of asocial phenomena on the substantive and procedural aspects of law. THEORETICAL-evaluates and criticizes law in terms of the ideals or goal postulated for it.
