1. Human Resource Management Advice and Assistance

Our approach to each assignment involves us:


Initially exploring and understanding the issues, concerns and outcomes sought by our client

Identifying the risks and opportunities that might be presented or that need to be considered and possible mitigation strategies
Developing options for action and confirming their relative value to the organisation in terms of the short and longer term operational benefits Assisting with implementation and reporting steps to deliver on the planned outcomes.

We conduct professional, independent investigations consistent with organizational policies and procedures and also best practice in investigative management.

Our experienced team are committed to conducting all investigations in a timely, professional and discrete manner. We produce a comprehensive report that contains all the necessary evidence and analysis to enable decision makers to understand the issues involved and to make appropriate decisions in terms of next steps with the matter.

4. Organisational and Individual Performance Management

The core components of most performance management arrangements include: Clarity in relation to the rationale and application to employees. The provision of guidance, as appropriate, for adjustments to pay and incremental movements. Clear linkages to organisational and business goals and the maintenance of the corporate values. An output that provision employees with a clear statement of performance expectations through a performance agreement. a requirement to regularly track performance against expectations and mutual obligations for managers and employees to provide feedback on achievements and areas for improvement a final overall assessment of achievement against expectations that includes no surprises.

HBA consulting is regularly commissioned by clients to undertake a range of targeted human resource and industrial relations related research projects. We are currently finalising a unique Access data base of all current Federal Government Enterprise Agreements. HBA also undertakes independent research with the preparation of information products providing contemporary analysis on remuneration and employment issues in various industry sectors.
