Lesson Summary:

"n this lesson plan% Children will be able to identify the animals and learn names of the animals. Depending on the computers provided% children can take turns to play with this game. Children will be able to develop their cognitive skills by identifying the animals and their names. They will also develop their language development. Estimated Duration: The lesson plan can be accessed during anytime of the day for children. To finish this lesson plan% it could depend on the time that has been put in by the children. " plan on letting the children to take turns to play the game for half an hour a day. Children will have up to three days to e$plore the game. (y that time% children will be able to know how to play the game. Commentary: " plan on letting the children play with the matching game during free activity choice. We will also talk about the animals and their names during circle time. (y playing this game% they will be able to learn the names of the animals. The game would be fun to play around with to find the matching names and the pictures of the animals.

To make the lesson more interesting if the children are interested the teacher can read a book called The #nimal (ook by Steve ,enkins. This book has information about different animals and their names. Which would the children some idea on what they would be looking forward to. #dditionally% " will also send some pictures files about animals and engage them in a conversation about animals. During this process " will write down the names of the animals they would like to learn. Day -* +n the second% " will recall the memory for children on what we did on day ) about animals and then start off with the video. #s part of the introduction " will play the .o#nimate video which was created towards this lesson plan. This video will e$plain what the game consists and with e$tension activities it holds. Children will also have the chance to ask /uestions regarding the game. #fter the discussion children be dismissed to their ne$t activity. Day 0* +n day 0 is when the children will have the opportunity to play and e$plore the game. Children will take

turns to play with the game while others find other activities to be engaged in. Children can access the matching on line game about the animals. They will have to click on every single bo$ to find the matching name of the animal. When they don1t find the correct matching cards the% card slots close and would let them try again. +n the ne$t web application children will be able to /ui2 themselves on the information they learnt about in the last three days. They can also do a fast moving picture matching word game with the animals. They would have plenty of games to access and e$plore that was created. Day 3* +n the last day% children will be given a paper format of the on line game to see how well they know about the names of the animals. This can be optional for the teachers.
