Why would people put gunpowder into guns to hurt other people?

What is gunpowder put into besides fireworks, fire arms or flare guns?

INVENTION
Gunpowder is a flammable powder that is put in guns, cannons, fireworks, flare guns and other firearms to entertain, protect, scare of evil spirits and let people know if someone is in trouble. It was invented in 1040 by the Chinese and was put used in weapons in 1230. It was believed that it was transported to Europe over the silk roads trade routes. The Europeans only started to use gunpowder in the battle of Crcy in 1346. Gunpowder is still used in weapons today but they use a different type that is has a stronger impact.
In England gunpowder was put into fire arms and cannons to protect and defend lords or/ and nobles. They also used gunpowder to put into weapons and have huge battles with other kingdoms or countries. The battle of Crcy was the first battle they used gunpowder.

Fire works were invented more than 2,000 years ago bye a Chinese cook who just happened to mix charcoal, sulphur, gunpowder and salt peter. When the the ingredients were enclosed in a bamboo tube and lighted, it exploded. Fireworks/ fire crackers were used to scare of evil spirits and entertain people.

Fireworks are very entertaining and are used to scare off evil spirits. They are also used to celebrate special holidays like, Chinese new year, Christmas, new year and many more celebrations.
Fireworks can sometimes be annoying to people who would like to rest or work because of there bright colours and loud sounds. They can also hurt people if the bits of the flare drops on someone and burns them. It could also be dangerous if someone was to close to the blast and they could get hurt.

Fire arms
Fire arms contain gunpowder and other explosive materials to protect and defend people and cities/ countries. They were invented in the 10th century when armies discovered that they could put gunpowder in cannons and guns.

PROBLEM
People didnt have a material that could be used to light and shoot things away in a short time.

Fire arms are used to protect people so they dont get hurt. It is also used to protect castles, palaces and ancient artifacts.

Flare Guns
The Greeks would use gunpowder instead of greek fire. They would put gunpowder into cannons, guns, explosive arrows and other weapons. The greeks used gunpowder to make a better navy and to protect there cities. They also used gunpowder to have ferocious battles face to face.

How come the Europeans only started to use gunpowder in 1346 and not earlier?

Flare guns are used to tell someone that another person is in trouble. The are gun, when it is red, makes, what looks like, a bright red are. After the are has reached its highest point, it will make a loud song like a bang.

Fire arms can be used to hurt people. They could also be used to start wars and make fires to destroy things. They are used to destroy cities, towns or countrysides. They can also be used to threaten and harass people.

Flare guns are used to tell other people, rescuers, that someone is in trouble in that spot. It has saved many lives because you can see it in the day and night time.
