1. About AJTA R
The African Journal of Textile and Apparel (AJTAR) is an open access peer reviewed journal devoted in dissemination of fundamental research papers, original research work, short communications, theoretical and applied scientific knowledge related to textiles and apparel, technology and management. The AJTAR provides rapid and fast publication of articles in various topics such as, fibers, yarns, fabrics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, smart textiles, technical textiles, composites, weaving, knitting, finishing, garment technology, fashion design, industrial engineering, supply chain management, waste reduction, waste management, textile and apparel marketing. The Journal is keen on uality as it accepts contributions based on novelty and

originality serving authors and subscribers internationally. !e also organi"e international conferences and workshops as well as advertisement opportunities can be availed in online and printed formats of journals. Authors from universities, independent researchers, government research centers, private research organi"ations and industrial laboratories are welcomed to submit their manuscripts.

Mission/Aims & scope

The mission of AJTAR is to provide a forum for exchange of research ideas relevant to the needs of textile and apparel industry as well as higher education. This is aimed at providing leadership through timely dissemination of information dealing with all aspects of textiles, apparel, technology and management.

criteria of significance and scientific excellence. * 'apers will be published shortly after acceptance. All articles published in

AJTAR are peer4reviewed. * (lectronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that

ajta6bdu.edu.et. A manuscript number will be mailed to the corresponding author shortly after submission. * The cover letter should include the corresponding author7s full address and

telephone8fax numbers and should be in an e4mail message sent to the (ditor, with the file, whose name should begin with the first author7s surname, as an attachment. * The African Journal of Textile and Apparel Research will only accept

Three types of manuscripts may be submitted5

Re"ular articles# These should describe new and carefully confirmed

findings, and experimental procedures should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. The length of a full paper should be the minimum re uired to describe and interpret the work clearly. ) Short *ommunications# A +hort %ommunication is suitable for recording

the results of complete small investigations or giving details of new models or hypotheses, innovative methods, techni ues or apparatus. The style of main sections need not conform to that of full4length papers. +hort communications are / to : printed pages #about ; to )/ manuscript pages$ in length. ) Re$ie!s# +ubmissions of reviews and perspectives covering topics of current

interest are welcome and encouraged. Reviews should be concise and no longer than :4; printed pages #about )/ to )< manuscript pages$. Reviews are also peer4 reviewed. +. Re$ie! Process All manuscripts are reviewed by an editor and members of the (ditorial -oard or ualified outside reviewers. Authors cannot nominate reviewers. &nly reviewers randomly selected from our database with speciali"ation in the subject area will be contacted to evaluate the manuscripts. The process will be blind review. 3ecisions will be made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers. comments to authors as soon as possible.
