Asad & Co is running commodity trade business like rice, pulses wheat etc in the local market with

the name of Asad Food Company (AFC). The main principle of their fore fathers was fairdealing. !er the years they ha!e sticked to this principle due to which people has been fa!ouring to do business with them. The old C" has left and new C" has taken o!er who is an #$A from America. After taking o!er, the new C" re!iewed the o!erall operation of the buisness & concluded that though the company was doing well but it lacked in trend practices of %& like recruitment, performance appraisals etc. %e was also of the opinion that the local market is already saturated therefore he wants to e'pand the business and take it to (nternational market. $efore e'panding the business and going global he wants to employ latest (nternational practices of %& and address the issues of cross cultural management. The new C" called meeting of his management staff and discussed with them the possible restructuring plan and implementation of !arious new %& practices. ne of the manager raised the issue that employees should be outsourced rather than insourced. The %& manager was against this notion and was of the opinion that it would take the company )** years back as at that time employees were +ust considered as a tool of getting the work done and there were no policies and practices of %&. ,ue to which employees performance was not upto considerable le!el that is now. The director %& has to take decision on this point. -)) (f you are a C" what would you do, %ow will you do and what factors you would consider and why. (f ( am the new C" , ( would focus on the company/s organi0ation structure and design. As my aim is to take the company global. ( would make such a hierarchy and departments that would be most effecti!e and efficient to carry out the business. ( would also preser!e my core !alues and make them my moti!e. For global operation ( would hire best resources present in the market which would already be trained to deal with clients globally in commodity market. #y

main factors would be recruitment and selection, effecti!e organisation design and fair dealing. -1) (f you are director %& what would you do. 2hat issues and factors you would consider for taking final decision while keeping in mind the company is one of the highest payer in the world. ( would not go for outsourcing because in outsourcing people hired are not directly employed by the company therefore they are not fully committed to the company which may affect the company/s performance. 3econdly the employees may not adhere to the company/s !alues which for me as a director %& are of prime importance. To preser!e the company/s !alues and self commitment of employees with the company ( would not opt for outsourcing.
