The purpose of REX Auto Update is to provide an easy and seamless means for you to effortlessly update various REX products with no room for error!
What REX Auto Update Does
 Automatically verifies the build you have installed and upgrade to next available build that has been officially released.  Automatically updates your current REX installation with any new updates, service packs or hotfixes. (Excluded products are: REX for FS2004 and REX Latitude)

What REX Auto Update Doesnt Do

 Does not allow you to cross upgrade from other REX products. (ie. REXPlane to REX Essential Plus)  Due to large file download sizes, this will not allow you to upgrade from REX Essential Plus to REX Essential Plus Overdrive. This particular upgrade path is available on our support forum located at http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums

How Does REX Auto Update work?

You download the REX Auto Update setup.exe and install it to your desktop. Upon starting REX Auto Update, it will automatically check to see if theres a new program version available. If so, you are required to allow it to automatically download the latest version. This usually means there has been an update made to one of the REX products. After REX Auto Update starts, you select which product you would like to check for updates for and then select your main REX installation folder. REX Auto Update compares your current REX application build number against the newest available update. If an update is found it will alert you. After the update has been successfully installed, the program will check to see if another build is available and again alert you of the next update. Continue installing updates until your REX application is fully upto-date.

How To Use REX Auto Update
1. Select the REX product you want to install an update for via the drop-down menu. 2.  Click the BROWSE button to locate the folder where your current REX product is installed. In the example above, the REX Essential Plus location is displayed. 3.  If an update is available, youll be alerted within this area and an INSTALL button will appear. Clicking INSTALL will begin the automatic download and installation process. This process can take time depending on the update size, so please be patient. DO NOT EVER QUIT THE APPLICATION WHILE ITS UPDATING! Upon completion of an update you will be alerted if another update is available. Please make certain to install ALL updates until the following status message appears: Your version is up to date 4.  The download and installation process is updated via the green progress bar at the bottom of the application. 5. The latest update information is displayed within this area.
