Sub. :-NSS Mega Camp at Bangalore from 29th June to 10th July, 2013 reg. Ref.:- F.No.P.42-1A/2012/NSS/PAC dated 3rd June,2013.
Sir/Madam, I am to refer to the subject cited above and to inform that NSS Regional Centre, Bangalore and Bangalore University, Bangalore is organizing NSS Mega Camp from 29th June to 10th July, 2013 (12 days) at NSS Bhavan, JnanaBharathi Campus, Bangalore University, Bangalore - 560 056.The allocation of NSS Volunteers and contingent leaders from your region and guidelines of the camp is already been sent to you by PA Cell, New Delhi vide letter under reference. How to reach the Venue: NSS Bhavan, JnanaBharathi Campus, Bangalore University, Bangalore is about 8 Kms from Bangalore City Railway station, KSRTC &Kempegowda Bus Stand. Those volunteers who are coming from train, they can alight at Bangalore City Railway Station and come to Kempegowda Bus stand (also known as Majestic Bus stand) which is just opposite the Bangalore City Railway Station. The details of BMTC buses plying from Kempegowda Bus Station to Bangalore University are given below :

Participants will have to alight at any one of the above Stop and move towards NSS Bhavan (Just 5 minutes walk). However, local NSS Volunteers will be at the Railway Station and Bus Stand for guiding the participants. Boarding :The campers will be provided simple Dormitory type lodging and boarding. ..2/-

-2Participants should carry the following items for their daily use : Light Bedding (for use at Camp site and also during 5 days Education Tour) NSS Badge with College/University ID Card Items for daily use A torch and an Umbrella Suitcase with lock Musical instruments/costumes & Make up sets for cultural (The participants may bring audio CD/Pen drive for cultural programmes) 3 Stamp-size colour Photographs. Reimbursement of Travelling Allowance : The NSS Programme Officers and volunteers should travel in 2nd Class Sleeper Rail or Ordinary Bus and the actual fare by the shortest route will be reimbursed by the organizers on production of proof of Journey. Return Journey : The NSS Programme Officers and Volunteers may book their return journey tickets on so as to leave Bangalore on 10.7.2013 after-noon onwards. Since, the participants will be on Educational Tour from 6th to 10th July, 2013, they will be dropped in the Bangalore City Railway Station/Bus Stand.
