MEETING AND WORKING WITH THE INNER GUIDEIn The First Step, we described what we believe you can

accomplish. Concerning the Inner Guide, we wrote...You can learn how to communicate with the Inner Guide. Will s/he appear in front of me whenever summoned, just like a genie? Will I see her/him as clearly as I see a physical person and hear her/him speaking just as I hear a physical person speaking?Perhaps. Peter, and many others, have had the experience of a full-fledged 2 nd Degree visitation. It s our experience that this doesn t happen every time, or even most of the time, for most people. You may !e different."hat you can definitely do, however, is learn to communicate in a consistent and relia!le fashion, with your Inner Guide. Your Inner Guide is totally compati!le with you, totally supportive of what you want, and #nows you more intimately than anyone else. $%he is the ideal coach%teacher. You might not even believe that you have an Inner Guide, so before we go any further we want to convince you that you do. ho or what is the Inner Guide! This is the cru" of the matter. hat are we tal#ing about when we use the term $Inner Guide.$ e have no agenda here, so we will ultimately leave it up to you to decide what to believe. hat we would suggest though is that there is a source of #nowledge and wisdom within you with a range that goes beyond your normal conscious #nowledge and wisdom. e see this in our dreams. %reams teach us about ourselves and our conflicts. %reams predict future events. %reams provide creative solutions to problems. %reams inspire us. %reams offer new ideas, inventions, poems, songs, artwor#. &ven if you are only willing to accept your $Inner Guide$ to be the aspect of your own psyche that creates your dreams, you will find wor#ing with that aspect fruitful.'f course you might believe that your Inner Guide is a Guardian (ngel, or a Spirit Guide, or an (scended )aster, or a member of the hite *rotherhood, or any of a hundred variations. e don+t really mind how you view it ,although we do suggest you be aware of any inherent limitations your description carries within it-. You might wonder though, if it matters to your Inner Guide! To answer that we+d li#e to tell you about three people who have wor#ed very successfully, on a daily basis with their Inner Guide over an e"tended period of time. .ane /oberts spent 01 years communicating with her Inner Guide, Seth. Through .ane, Seth has dictated, verbatim, 2 boo#s on the nature of personal reality, selling millions of copies and influencing millions of people. Some consider the Seth material to have been the trigger for the entire 3ew (ge movement.Seth referred to himself as an 4energy essence personality no longer focused in physical reality.5Gary 6uinn teaches people how to manifest the things they want in life through contacting and following the guidance of their Inner Guides. 7is approach is very popular because it wor#s.6uinn refers to these Inner Guides as (ngels. )achaelle Small right runs a thriving mail order business called 8erelandra, 9td. She sells botanical essences, which she ma#es herself from the gardens on her farm in :irginia. 7er gardening program, essence production, in fact her entire business, is run co;operatively with her Inner Guides. In her boo#s she discusses the

different Inner Guides she consults< the 3ature %evas, the 3ature Spirits, her 7igher Self and the hite *rotherhood.'ur reason for mentioning these three models in particular, for there are many others, is to demonstrate that while each of these are describing the Inner Guide differently, each relationship still wor#s.So, as long as you are open to defining your 4Inner Guide5 as at least, an unspecified source of greater wisdom and =or perspective, that will be enough to begin your e"ploration. You may believe that the Inner Guide is more but never thin# that it is any less. The e"act nature of the Inner Guide is far less important than the results of your communications. Connecting with your Inner Guide is critical because s=he will be with you long after you have completed any wor#shop or program. e can teach you everything you need to #now to begin your >uest, but your Inner Guide can ta#e you further. e cannot #now you as intimately as the greater You, #nows yourself. e can?t care about you as much as your 8sychic Self does. There is no one that can wor# with you more effectively@ no one who will be a better teacher, supporter and companion on this psychic >uest that you have begun. Some >uic# notes< hile we are somewhat vague as to the e"act nature of your Inner Guide, there are some things that we wish to state categorically. Your Inner Guide will be affirming, supportive and benevolent, having your best interest in mind but within the conte"t of your desires. This is your life@ you ma#e the choices.Your Inner Guide will respond to your desires. S=he will not tell you that you have a duty or purpose and that you have to change or become disciplined or learn to do some specific s#ill or move to the Aungle to fulfill your mission. Your Inner Guide never loses patience, never Audges you, and never feels angry or slighted. S=he will point out a path that will move you a step further towards that which you desire. If you miss the path or choose not to ta#e it out of fear or for whatever reason, your Inner Guide will simply point out another path. If you find any of the above to be untrue in your e"perience, we would suggest it is because you are organiBing your perceptions to include these limitations. hile we are going to guide you through You can begin by simply choosing to pay attention to what you are thin#ing and feeling during the day. That?s the only way that you?ll become aware of what your Inner Guide is saying to you. There?s no point as#ing for guidance if you aren?t listening for the answer as the answer comes through stray thoughts and impulses. hen you use %ynamic )editation to meet your Inner Guide, you will probably get some sort of e"perience of him or her@ a visual image, a sound, a sensation. e li#e to do formal sessions when we want to sense and bas# in our Inner Guide?s presence, but we communicate with him=her throughout the day whenever we wish to, about whatever we want to.9et us Aust ma#e it clear here that there is nothing in your life that is trivial. &very e"perience you have ma#es up the >uality of your life and your Inner Guide wishes nothing more than to enhance the >uality of your life. &verything you e"perience is an opportunity for you to reconnect to that energy which effortlessly creates the best of all possible realities for you. So you can as# your Inner Guide for help in any area of your life. C8eter< In our boo# *eyond Intuition, I was

complaining about the sad state of affairs in the psychic field and made the statement that some people claimed that< 4 hen you found a par#ing spot closer to your destination, that was the wor# of your spirit guide, ,as if he had no better reason for contacting you-.5 CThis was intellectual conceit on my part. I was wrong. I was thin#ing that persons claiming this were not doing what they should be doingD. getting on with the wor# of personal development. I failed to understand the true nature of your inner guidance. hat is important to you is important to your Inner Guide.ESOME NOTES FROM JEANNE,If you have the 8S% Fit, you have it easy. .ust play $I33&/ GGI%&$ and I will guide you through the whole meditation. This version is purposely simplified for those who don+t have the Fit.- If you are Aust doing your e"ploration without the 8S% Fit here is how you use %Y3()IC )&%IT(TI'3 to contact your Inner Guide. e are assuming in the following instructions that you are already familiar with %ynamic )editation and feel comfortable using it. If not you can use the preceding lin# to do that first. If you are ready, read through the following directions and then away you goH Step I< (ssume a comfortable position. Gncross your arms and legs. Close your eyes and Aust let go. For the ne"t few moments, there is nothing else to do, no where else to go, but to be here, now.Step 0< Slowly ta#e a deep breath and when you have filled your lungs, hold it. ,%on+t strain-. (t the same time, with your eyelids closed, loo# up at the top of your head. 7old that eye position and your breath for a few seconds only and then Aust slowly let them go and, as you do, feel yourself rela"ing, floating. Step J< (s you are feeling yourself rela"ed and floating, focus your attention on your feet. Try to feel them. If they are tense, let them rela". %o the same with your legs, your seat, your stomach, your shoulders, arms and hands, bac# of your nec#, Aaw ,very important-, face and eyes.Step K< Imagine a door. Go through this door and into your own Inner Sanctuary. Step L< Imagine that you place your hand on the door #nob ,or handle- now and open that door. al# into your Inner Sanctuary and see what is in it. Spend a few moments getting reac>uainted with your Inner Sanctuary. hat to do now that you are there<I< 'nce you feel comfortable in your Inner Sanctuary imagine another door. ,This would be a different door than the one that you have Aust used to come into the Inner Sanctuary.-0< Clearly form your Intent to meet your Inner Guide. Say something li#e, $ hen I open this door, I will perceive my Inner Guide.$J< 3ow, imagine opening the door. /emember how it feels to hold a door #nob and viBualiBe this. Then as you open the door, visualiBe a long hallway and a dim figure in the distance moving towards you. This is a personification of your Inner Guide. ,*y that we mean that it is a $representation$ of your Inner Guide, not necessarily his=her real appearance. e mention that because we don+t want you to worry about whether you are seeing the real thing. You aren+t@ you are seeing your psychological interpretation of the real thing and that is o#ay.-K< 3ow, stopH %o no more imaging or visualiBing. Simply wait and see what you e"perience. In most cases the figure will move closer and as they do they will gradually become clearer and easily to perceive.L< 7old your hand out beside the Inner Guide?s face. Focus upon your hand and

when you can clearly see it, move it towards the face so that the face becomes clear. Touch the face and feel it. Step bac# and hold your Inner Guide?s hands.M< &ven if you don+t get a figure ,perhaps you get a $feeling$ or a $light,$- than# whatever you are e"periencing, for coming.2< This ne"t step is more important than whether you see a $wise old man,$ or Aust $sense a presence.$ (s# your Inner Guide what it is that you most need to #now at this point in your life.N< 3ow it gets challenging again. You have to be still. %o not thin# of an answer@ Aust see what comes of its own accord. (void the temptation to ma#e something up. Try to Aust listen. 9et the words, thoughts and impressions, feelings, sensations or imagery, come as they will.Spend some time communicating in this way. e recommend that you as# your Inner Guide for a name. %on?t ma#e one up, as#. %on?t force anything. If you don?t get answers right away they will come to you outside the session usually within 0K O KN hours.(fter a few moments, than# your Inner Guide for whatever you got ,even if you thin# you got nothing- and end your meditation. That+s all there is to it...'nce in your Inner Sanctuary, you imagine another door. Tell yourself that behind that door will be your Inner Guide. Imagine opening the door and loo#ing down a long hallway. See what you see, get what you get. Than# whatever you get for coming@ as# what you most need to #now at this point in your life and then do nothing but be aware of what comes. Than# your Inner Guide again and end the session.7ow to come bac#<I< )entally say the word 4one5 and become aware of your physical body sitting or lying down@ the feel of being in the physical world, any sounds or smells. 0< Say the word 4two5 and stretch your arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, toes, and release them. You move your whole body about.J< 'n the count of 4three5 you open your eyes, loo# around you, get up and stretch, maybe wal# if you need to. In the boo# and guided meditation tapes we spend more time with the induction. e use some progressive rela"ation and visualiBation to help you focus more clearly in this state. *ut what I+ve have given you here is an e"cellent beginning. (nd now, get yourself into a comfortable position, begin your Inner .ourney and come bac# here afterwards.%id you go yet!If you haven?t, I?ll waitD. REFLECTIONS ON MEETING WITH YOUR INNER GUIDE( good Inner Guide session and contact will be li#e the results of a good dream interpretation. You should find them counseling, supportive, and motivational. It should tell you something new about yourself or give you a new perspective. In all it should be 4life affirming.5 If it is, then even if the s#eptical side of you doubts the supernatural origin of the information, you will at least find it e"tremely beneficial.%on?t e"pect that your Inner Guide will materialiBe in the room or that you will hear voices outside your head. That can happen, but probably not right away. ,If that is what you would li#e to happen, you can choose to ma#e that you focus of your psychic

e"ploration.- /ealiBe that you might be challenged by fears that you are 4ma#ing it all up.5 The beginning of this is the worst, but you have to put aside your doubts and simply pretend or act as if it was for real. Then Audge by the material that you get. &verything you get has meaning.&ach of us is different. You might have a natural inclination for communication with your Inner Guide. From our e"perience, personal and in coaching others, let me ma#e some strong suggestions...I- Ta#e your time.0- %on?t test the source in the beginning.J- %on?t e"pect the communications to be omnipotent or infallible.K- %on?t as# for a prediction@ that is your department.L- %on?t as# for the origin of the world, the purpose of life, the lowdown on (tlantis and GF's or the secret of the Cosmos. Instead as# for comments on your personal relationships, why you feel how you do, what holds you bac#.M- If your source claims to be a big shot, tell him=her goodbye. .udge your source li#e you would Audge a coach, teacher, therapist or friend. LAST WORD8eter< Your Inner Guide doesn?t live in your Inner Sanctuary. You don?t have to limit your interaction to a formal Inner .ourney. I have found that useful to do when first e"ploring the Inner Guide because it usually ma#es it easier for you to personify that aspect of your Self. Your Inner Guide is with you 0K=2. If you need a good par#ing spot as# your Inner Guide to find one for you. If you have a problem, give it up to your Inner Guide to solve. If you are having trouble stic#ing to your diet, as# your Inner Guide to help. Throughout your day you can as# your Inner Guide for things.Gntil ne"t month,Cheers, 8eter ,and .eanne-PsychicSelfDisco e!y"co#
