1.2EnrollmentPose Duringthe enrollment, displaythe face inthe centre of screen as possible. Accordingtothedevicesvoiceprompts,dosomesmallscopeheadactions suchasturnleft,turnright,rise,bowandsoontoensurethatthedifferent partsoffaceareinputtedintosystemtoimprovetheverificationaccuration. 1.3Howtoplacethefinger Makesurethefingerprintimagecapturedisofacoreofpresentedfinger,a fingerprintispointtolocatewithininnermostrecurringridgeofanygivefinger. Toobtainahighersuccessrate,enrollsamefinger3timesinaslightlyadjust angle, one to the center, one incline slightly to the left. The third incline slightlytotheright.Youfollowthefollowingplaceprocedurethesuccessrate willincreasedramatically.

1.4Touchscreenoperation Toolargetouchareaofusingfingernailpartsorfingertipsispossibletoaffect theuseoftouchscreen,asthebelowdemo.

Whenthetouchscreen isnotsensitive,pleaseenterthemenuforascreen calibration. On the screen, press Menu key >screen calibrated appearedaCrossGraphic,Pleaseuseyourfingertoclickthecrosscenter points,afterfiveconsecutiverightclick,itwillautomaticallyreturntothemain menu,Thenclick Back keytoreturntotheinitialinterface. Thedetail introductionon10screencalibrationisinthemanualforyoureference.

2MainMenu

2MainMenu Staff has two kinds of privileges: users and administrators. users can only useface,fingerprintorpasswordauthenticationadministratorcanenterthe mainmanutooperateallkindsofsettingstogetherwiththeUserfunctions. Intheinitialinterface,youcanpress MENU keytoenterthemainmenu, asshownbelow:

Ifthedevicedoesnothaveadministrator,anypersonpresses MENU keytobeabletoenterthemenuoperationifsetup administrator, it will need administrator confirmation to enter the menu. For the safety sake, it is recommended enrolling administrator for the first time of using. For Details, please referto3.1.6.

User:Viewpersonnelinformation,includingIDNo.,name,fingerprint,face, cards,passwords,privilegeandgroupoftheunitandsoon.Increase,editor deleteoperationthebasicinformation

Connection:Setupcommunicationparametersbetweentheequipmentand the PC, including IP address, gateway, subnet mask, baud rate, device number,communicationspasswordetc.

System : Set the system parameters, including basic parameters, interface parameters,fingerprints,faceandattendanceparameters,tomaximizemeet usersneedsinthefunctional,displayandotherareas.

Data: manage the data in the device, such as delete attendance records, delete all the data, clear administer privilege, clear publicity pictures and restorethefactorysettings. 13

AutoTest: automaticallytestthefunctionofeachmoduleifitisworkable, includingthescreen,sensor,voice,face,keyboardandclocktests.

Calibration: When touchscreen response is not sensitive, enter the calibrationinterfacetoadjust.

Bell:

3.1.3Enrollfingerprint 1:In Add Users interface, press Fingerprintbuttontoenterthe interface,seetheleftImage1: 1) In the popup fingerprint Enrollment interface (see left Image 2),according to the screen tips, press finger on the sensor in therightway.See"Howtopress finger". Press one finger 3 times in the proper way. If successes, the screen tips will show up(see the leftImage3)andwillautomatically back to the Add Users interface(seetheleftImage4).If fail, the screen tips will show up andbacktofingerprintEnrollment interfaceandredothestep2. 1. Press Fingerprint to use other fingers to backup and 10 fingerprints can be enrolledatmost. 2. Press Save to save the infoandbacktotheprevious interface, or press User not to save and back to the previousinterface.

3.1.4Enrollface 1:In Add Users interface, Press Face button to enter the face Enrollment interface, see the left Image1: 2. In the popup Face Enrollment interface (see left Image2), accordingtothevoicetipstoasmall range around rotor, the rise , bow and other actions aimed at the differentpartsofthefaceallentrying intothesystem,tomakeverification more accurate. See the introduction of "Verification posture". 3. After enrolling successfully, screen tipswillshowup,andautomatically back to the Add Users interface (seeleftImage3). 4.Press Save button to save the current information and backtothe previous interface press User button not to save the current information,anddirectlybacktothe previousinterface.

In Add User interface, Press Password button to enter the password settings interface, see the leftImage1. 2:Inthepopupkeyboardinterface,input yourpassword,thenclick"OK"button, seetheleftImage2.Accordingtothe screen tips to input your password again, and then click "OK" button to save. Tip:devicedefaultpassworddigitsis1 8. 3.Passwordinputiscompleted,seethe interfaceatleftImage3.Press Save button to save the current information and back to the previous interface press User button not to save the currentinformation,anddirectlybackto thepreviousinterface.

3.1.6ReviseUsersprivilege

1. In Add Users interface, press User button, you can change theuserprivilegetoAdministrators, seetheleftImage1. Note: Staff has two kinds of privileges:users and administrators. Userscanonlyuseface,fingerprint or password authentication administrator, owning the Users functionandcanalsoenterthemain menu to operate all kinds of the settings. 2.Aftercompletionofediting,seethe left image two. Press Save button to save the current information and back to the previousinterfacepress User button not to save the current information, and directly back to thepreviousinterface.

3.1.7InputGroupNumber This device default is to run the face group verification function. When enrolled,thedeviceallocatesautomaticallythegroupno.toemployee.The defaultisGroup1thenumberexpires,thedevicewillautomaticallyextendto Group2.Group1canenroll100facestheothergroupscouldonlyenroll50 faces atmost.If you usethe function of automatically allocatingtheGroup no.,thissectioncouldbeskipped.

1. In Add Users interface, press Group No. button to enter the group No.setting interface, see the leftImage.1. 2. In the popup keyboard interface, enteryourgroupNo.,thenclick"OK" button,seetheleftImage2. Tip:TheeffectivegroupNo.is1~24. 3. Group number input is complete, then see the interface in the left Image3. Press Save button to savethecurrentinformationandback topreviousinterfacepress User button to not save the current information, direct back to previous interface. Tips: Please keep in mind the user'sowngroupNo.

3.3DeleteUser Itis Okto delete all and part ofthe user database fromthe interface of editinguser

1. In the editing interface Press Delete thanentrytheSetting Group Number interface as the firstpicture. 2. Fromthesecondpicture,Press Delete ,theuserinformationhas beenalldeletePress back ,then returnthelastinterface 3. In the editing the user interface, thepressofthename,fingerprint, face, and password could delete theinformationasneed.

4Communicationsetting ThesettingofcommunicationbetweenthePCandequipmentisincludingthe IPaddress,gateway,subnetmask,baudrate,devicenumber,signalcode, andsoon

4.1Configurenetworks WhentheequipmentconnectingwithPCbyTCP/IP,pleasekindlycheckthe belowsetting:

MachineIPaddress:DefaultIPis192.168.1.201,anditisoktomodifiedas needDonotsetIPaddressassameIPfromPCthatthedeviceconnected with. Subnetmask:Defaultmask255.255.255.0,itisOk tomodifyasneed. Gatewayaddress:theDefaultgatewayaddressis0.0.0.0,iftheequipment andPCisnotintheidenticalnetworksegment,setupthegatewayaddress firstly. 28

4.2Configureserialport WhentheequipmentconnectingwiththePCbyRS232/485,pleasekindly checkthebelowsetting:

RS232: Whether using RS232 communication or not, if the RS232 will be used,thenthischoiceis"ON" RS485:Whether using RS485 communication or not, if the RS485 will be used,thenthischoiceis"ON. Baudrate:therateatwhichfingerprintmachinecommunicatewiththePC, therearefivekindsofoptions9600,19,200,38,400,57,600,1.15200bit/sec, the high speed communication is faster ,and recommend by the RS232communication The low speed communication is stable, and recommendedbytheRS485communication Connection password: To ensure the security of time and attendance databases , you could set the connection password . The system default passwordis0(namelythepassworddoesnotexist),itisallowedtosetitas other values, after setting up, be sure to input this password before the softwarecommunicatewiththeequipment,otherwiseyouwillfailtocreate connection between the fingerprint machine and PC software. The connectionpasswordlengthis1~6.
