APPLICATIONS
The angle bracket allows the transfer of lateral shear loads (F2,3) in wood-to-cement and wood-to-wood junctions.

1 T he fixing of the anchors into the cement must be verified separately based on the loads stressing the anchors and that can be defined via the Kt coefficients; the Kt coefficients vary in function of the installation and are indicated on the following page; the anchors are affected by a lateral shear load equivalent to: Flat = Kt F2,3 where F2,3 = Shear load acting on the vertical flange of the angle bracket. 2 In compliance with the ETA-11/0496 the computational model takes into account experimental tests; eccentricity e equals the distance between the mass centre of the nails of the vertical flange and the application point of the shear load; for such an eccentricity value (due to experimentally observed torsions) the strengths of the vertical flange and of the horizontal flange coincide, thus determining the resistive equilibrium of the junction; in function of this eccentricity, shear strength is given directly in the ETA-11/0496 as indicated in the tables on the following page.

Flat = F2,3 Kt
The use of two TITAN TCP plates for each single junction doubles design strengths.
N.B.:
F2,3 is the shear load actually acting on the vertical flange of the angle bracket; Flat is the lateral shear load acting on the anchor. 1 T he fixing of the anchors into the cement must be verified separately based on the loads stressing the anchors and that can be defined via the coefficients Kt and Kt //. 2 O nly 2 of the holes in the horizontal flange are to be anchored; the anchors are affected by a shear load equal to: Flat = Kt F2,3 that distributes evenly onto the 2 anchors. 3 I t is preferable to anchor the 2 internal holes and thus: Flat = Kt int F2,3 ; if this is not possible, the 2 external holes are anchored, thus: Flat = Kt ext F2,3. 4 A ll 3 holes of the plate are to be anchored; the central anchor is affected by the load Flat,int = Kt // int F2,3 ; each lateral anchor is affected by the load Flat,ext = Kt // ext F2,3.

Main principles:
The admitted values R zul are the recommended values as per DIN 1052:1988 standard. R kmod The characteristic values Rk are compliant with EN 1995:2009 standard in agreement with the ETA 11/0469; the design values are derived as follows: Rd,TITAN= k m The coefficients m and K mod are to be considered in function of the standards used for computation.

N.B.:
Chemical anchorage consists in 5.8 class (INA type) steel bars anchored to the cement with vinyl ester resin for concrete (code FE40055-56). The admissible values R zul of the screw anchorage, the chemical anchorage and the metal anchorage are recommended values in accordance with DIN1052:1988 standard. The characteristic values Rk of the SKR screw anchorage are in accordance with the tests conducted by the Politecnico di Milano institute (Test certificate No. 2006/5205/1). The characteristic values Rk of the chemical anchorage are in accordance with ETA-09/0078 and are computed using the Design Method A (ETAG001). The characteristic values Rk of the heavy-duty metal anchorage (type AB7) are in accordance with ETA-07/0067 and already take into account a reduction factor due to the interaxis.
Rk The design values of the anchors are derived from the characteristic values, as follows: Rd,anchor = m with m indicated in the table. Anchor check is satisfactory when design strength is greater than design load: Rd, anchor Fd, lat.
