Rishi nyasa is to worship the Rishi of the mantra on our head so the Rishi will bless us with the knowledge and siddhi of the mantra. Chanda: The next part of mantra is the chanda (meter ! how to say the mantra in a particular rhythm so the diety is pleased. The mantra devata should never be inimical to the 'shta or the .tmakaraka! in temporal relationship according to the chart of an individual.
