There are obvious reasons why the State Department has a security clearance process. For example, if a prospective employee is married to a person from Communist China particularly if members of the family are still living there then the person may still be hired, but the security clearance process will require that the person not be assigned to duties related to Communist China. Why would the security clearance process impose such a restraint? The obvious answer is that we wouldnt want to see American security or policy get compromised because of a State Department employees conflicts of interest, causing bad negotiations, information leaks or suppressed critical facts or even the appearance of such. Rewards or threats to family members could seriously undermine an employees ability to work on Americas behalf. Unfortunately, as obvious as our need for security clearances is, they have been tossed to the wind by the Obama Administration. This is not to say that the U.S. government no longer uses security clearancesquite the contrary. They are imposed on the little people who try to get jobs in the State Department. No, Team Obama only ignores security clearances when it comes to positions likeSECRETARY OF STATE. Thats right, for the top positions in the U.S. government, President Obamas politically-driven appointments overrule longstanding practice and common-sense. This is why Secretary of State Kerry, whose son-inlaw is from Iran, and has family still living there, was given the job of negotiating with Iran on behalf of our country and the rest of the Free World to reign in Irans nuclear ambitions. But really, who could have seen it coming that our Secretary of State would be negotiating with Iran? Oh yeahjust about ANYONE, given Obamas longstanding outstretched hand toward Iran (for refresher, click here). Therefore it was reckless for Obama to appoint Kerry to the position of Secretary of State, and even more reckless to put Kerry in charge of negotiations with Iran. How much more reckless? Well, considering that we require security clearances for government officials working with China, which is a

trusted ally of the United States in comparison to Iran, AKA the worlds greatest sponsor of terrorism, which is currently letting an American citizen rot in its death-row prison on trumped-up charges (for refresher, click here), Id say that Obama and Kerry were QUITE reckless. CRAZY reckless. The least Kerry could have done was recuse himself from consideration for the office of Secretary of State there are plenty of other high offices he could have had that would not have had a conflict of interest. And if he didnt have the common sense to recuse himself from the office, he could have at least recused himself from negotiating with Iran. Instead, Kerrys lust for power and presidential aspirations led him to take on jobs that endanger both his country and even his own Iranian family (NB: Secretaries of State have often become Presidents (click here), which explains why both Kerry and Clinton accepted the office). Its really shocking that the danger lurking within Kerrys conflict of interest never occurred to anyone in the Obama Administration. But then again, we shouldnt be surprised, because Kerrys poorly considered appointment is symptomatic of the poor decision-making processes that characterize Obamas presidency, on everyt hing from Obamacare to Benghazi, Egypt, Syria, Libya, and even the assassination of Osama bin Laden, where the trumpeting of SEAL Team 6 quite likely led to a Taliban revenge shoot-down of a Chinook helicopter, sending nearly two dozen members of SEAL Team 6 to their deaths during Extortion 17 three months later (for refresher, click here). Clearly, national security is taking a back seat to political ambitions and Democrat insider politics. The price we ultimately pay for this lack of discretion could go far beyond anything anyone could have imagined before Kerry sat down at the negotiating table opposite Team Rouhani. Iranian missile technicians secretly visited North Korea as part of joint development of a new rocket booster for long-range missiles or space launchers at the same time nuclear talks took place in Geneva, according to U.S. officials. Several groups of technicians from the Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG), a unit in charge of building Irans liquid-fueled missiles, traveled to Pyongyang during the past several months, including as recently as late October, to work on the new, 80-ton rocket booster being developed by the North Koreans, according to officials familiar with intelligence reports. The booster is believed by U.S. intelligence agencies to be intended for a new long-range missile or space launch vehicle that could be used to carry nuclear warheads, and could be exported to Iran in the future. Recent U.S. intelligence assessments have said that both North Korea and Iran are expected to have missiles capable of hitting the United States with a nuclear warhead in the next two years. The Iranian cooperation reveals that the nuclear framework agreement concluded Sunday in Geneva has not slowed Tehrans drive for missiles that can deliver a nuclear warhead to intercontinental range. One official described the new booster as a thruster for a super ICBM or a heavy-lift space launcher. It is completely new from what they have done so far, the official said. The official said the missile cooperation was disseminated in multiple intelligence reports over the past several months. The official suggested the reports were suppressed within the government by the Obama administration to avoid upsetting the talks in Geneva. HAIFA, ISRAEL The U.S.-led nuclear deal with Iran is making strange bedfellows in the Middle East, with longtime American allies Israel and Saudi Arabia considering new alliances to contain their common enemy.

The agreement last weekend to allow limited sanctions relief for the Islamic Republic in return for the promised suspension of the countrys nuclear development came as a significant blow to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had long campaigned against any easing of pressure on the Iranian regime. But Netanyahu, who on Sunday slammed the Geneva deal as a historic mistake, appears to have been reassured to some degree by a telephone conversation later that day with President Obama, who restated his firm commitment to Israel, which has good reason to be skeptical about Irans intentions. Still, the Israeli leader warned, This accord must bring about one outcome: the dismantling of Iran's military nuclear capability. At the same time, the deal may be provoking a shift in the strategic partnership landscape, given that Israel is already uneasy at U.S. foreign policy in neighboring Syria and dismayed by the Obama administrations support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman strongly hinted last week that Israel is already actively looking around for new alliances. Speaking in the southern Israeli city of Sderot, the scene of hundreds of rocket attacks from Hamas in the adjacent Gaza Strip, Liberman said, The link between Israel and its main strategic partner, the United States, has weakened. The Brotherhood is also the leading force in Morocco, Libya and Kuwait, and if things go well for them, they will rule in Syria as well. The Brotherhood is supported by the rich, powerful Emirate of Qatar, with its jihadi al-Jazeera media channel that is capable- as we have seen since December, 2010 of toppling rulers in order to place the Muslim Brotherhood in power. The United States State Department has been encouraging the Muslim Brotherhood in their imperialistic process ever since President George. W. Bushs time, and since January 2009, President Obama and the State Department have viewed political Islamic imperialism to be in the American national interest. The reason that the United States supports the Brotherhood is because ever since the terror attacks of September

11, 2001, the United States has been searching for a moderate sort of political Islam that the West can live with, contrary to al-Qaeda, for example, and the Muslim Brotherhood is very suitable in the opinion of the State Department, and now, in the opinion of the White House as well to assume the role of a legitimate ruling power in Islamic states that will not incite hatred against the West in general and the United States in particular. The Plan for North Sinai For the past two years, Syria has been consumed by a terrible civil war, in which more than a hundred thousand men, women and children have been killed to date. Four hundred thousand Palestinian refugees have been living in Syria since 1948 and they share in the general suffering: hundreds of them have been killed and wounded and many thousands of them have fled to Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt and other countries. This is very concerning to the Hamas movement the Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood because if the situation continues, the Palestinians, who have until now lived in Syria, will disappear as a group and their distribution throughout the world would dissolve the Palestinian problem and their right of return into Israel. This is the reason that Hamas leaders conceived the idea together with Mursi: Egypt will transfer North Sinai to the authority of Hamas, and the Palestinian refugees will be transferred for a limited time to Sinai from Syria and from the countries to which they fled recently as a result of the civil war. The Mursi government approved of transferring northern Sinai to Hamas in order to settle Palestinian refugees from Syria there, because then, many infrastructures would have to be developed housing, water, sewage, electricity, roads, communications, industry and education. All of this would have American, Qatari and international funding, and Egypt would benefit from the resulting opportunities for employment. The area would be leased to the Palestinians, and the world would pay the rent to Egypt. According to the plan, Hamas would be responsible for the Palestinian refugees living in Sinai, mainly to assure that other movements, especially Fatah, would not be able to set foot among these Palestinians. The people of Gaza would be able to pass freely into north Sinai, which would become a Palestinian Islamic state. Joining north Sinai with Gaza would ease the Gaza residents sense of siege, and would open great economic opportunities because of the building and development initiatives for North Sinai, causing the tunnels between Gaza and Rafah to become superfluous. The United States seems to be aware of this plan and to agree to it, and if the name of the United States is connected with the plan, the United States will earn a lot of credit for its generous support in rescuing the Palestinians while simultaneously preserving their problematic situation, just as their status as refugees has been preserved for the past 65 years with budgets for UNRWA, a large part of which come from American tax payers

Lawmaker: Benghazi operatives likely communicated with Al Qaeda leaders before, after attack

Some of the main operatives in the Benghazi terror attack were part of the Al Qaeda network and likely sought to communicate with Al Qaeda leadership in Pakistan leading up to and after the strike that killed four Americans, according to the Republican chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. I can tell you we know the participants of the event were clearly Al Qaeda affiliates, had strong interest and desire to communicate with Al Qaeda core and others, in the process -- we believe before and after the event, Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., who has access to classified information and receives regular briefings, told Fox News in an exclusive interview. Last month, Fox News was first to report that at least two of the key suspects in the Benghazi terror attack were at one point working with Al Qaeda senior leadership. Sources familiar with the investigation said one suspect was believed to be a courier for the network, and the other a bodyguard in Afghanistan prior to the 2001 terror attacks. The direct ties to Al Qaeda senior leadership undercut early characterizations by the Obama administration that the attackers in Benghazi were isolated extremists" with no organizational structure or affiliation. After the attack, the former bodyguard -- Faraj al Chalabi -traveled to Pakistan, where he was detained, returned to Libya and eventually released before the FBI was granted access. A former Guantanamo detainee, Sufian bin Qumu, who is suspected of training some of the operatives who took part in the assault, was in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, according to a knowledgeable source. Fox News is told the intelligence community is trying to determine whether he played any role directing the attack and whether he was physically on or near the consulate grounds. I will tell you this, by witness testimony and a year and a half of interviewing everyone that was on the ground by the way, either by an FBI investigator or the committee: It was very clear to the individuals on the ground that this was an Al Qaeda-led event. And they had pretty fairly descriptive events early on that lead those folks on the ground, doing the fighting, to the conclusion that this was a pre-planned, organized terrorist event, Rogers said. Not a video, that whole part was debunked time and time again, which just leads to questions of why the administration hung with that narrative for so long when all the folks who participated on the ground saw something different.

Personnel working at the CIA annex in Benghazi were well aware that the 9/11 anniversary last year could be a flashpoint, according to recent testimony, and a notice was even posted on a bulletin board at the annex warning of potentially increased hostilities against western targets during that period. The new details emerged during recent closed-door briefings by CIA personnel including former contractors, according to those familiar with the testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. The witnesses also voiced concern about Ambassador Chris Stevens visit to Benghazi right before the 9/11 anniversary; Stevens was killed in the attack. Given an understanding between the local CIA personnel and the nearby State Department operation that they would come to each others aid, the CIA on the ground in Benghazi was aware of Stevens arrival in Benghazi on Sept. 10, according to the witnesses. But they told lawmakers they were puzzled as to why Stevens was there during a period of heightened threat without significant additional security. The new testimony appears to challenge the findings of the Accountability Review Board -- known as the State Department ARB -which explicitly stated that the Benghazi consulate and the State Department were well aware of the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks but at no time were there ever any specific, credible threats against the mission in Benghazi related to the September 11 anniversary." Witnesses also testified that as early as August 2011, 13 months before the Benghazi terrorist attack, it was understood by CIA personnel at the annex that military assets were moving out of the region, and the CIA operation was potentially left exposed in the event of a terrorist strike

In piecing together the vast intelligence warnings on Benghazi, will Hillary Clinton go down in history as another Nero? Weve all heard stories about that fateful night of Sept. 11, 2012 in Benghazi. Ansar al-Sharia, an Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist outfit led an attack on the U.S. Consulate, killing four Americans -- U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, information management officer Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALs, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods. Yet most Americans dont realize this was the second terrorist attack on the consulate, the first came on June 6, blowing a 40-foot hole in the outer wall. On June 11, the State Dept. issued an Emergency Message for U.S. Citizens entitled Attack on Benghazi, that warned Americans, this incident is a reminder of the fluid security situation in Libya and is the latest in a series of attacks in Benghazi against diplomatic and international installations. Three intelligence reports recently uncovered by the American Media Institutes Richard Miniter and Susan Katz Keating detail an Islamic militant rally in Benghazi on June 7-8 with 300 armed-men, flying the Al Qaeda flag, sporting automatic rifles and rocket launchers. According to Miniter & Katz Keating, writing earlier this month in Investors Business Daily, At that rally, terror leaders called for the murder of American diplomats. On August 15, 2012, the U.S. Mission in Benghazi convened an emergency meeting, and the following day sent a classified cable to Secretary Clinton notifying her that it could not defend against a coordinated attack. First reported in a Fox News Exclusive by Catherine Herridge, U.S. security officials were briefed on the location of approximately ten Islamist militias and A.Q. training camps within Benghazi. Considering the June attack on the consulate, the August emergency meeting, and over 200 terror-related incidents in Libya since strongman Muammar Qaddafi was ousted, the U.S. embassy in Tripoli repeatedly requested additional security from State Dept. headquarters in Washington. So what did then-Secretary Hillary Clinton and staff do? While staff turned down multiple media requests, she got out of town. Literally. She packed her backs and traveled the world, visiting 112 countries, the most ever by any Secretary of State, and according to State Dept. records, logged nearly 1 million miles.

When she returned to work in early January 2013 after a month-long series of illnesses, including a reported concussion, her staff proudly presented her with a football helmet and blue jersey with 112 emblazoned on the back. Yet perhaps Ms. Clintons penchant for globetrotting contributed to disaster in Benghazi? After all, in the three months between terrorist attacks on the Benghazi consulate, Ms. Clinton visited 31 countries on 7 different trips. These trips included destinations like diplomatic, economic and military heavyweights Mongolia, South Sudan, Benin, Laos, Vietnam, Latvia, Timor Leste, Senegal, Cambodia, Ghana, Uganda and 20 other countries. On August 30, just 12 days before the U.S. Consulate was overrun in a coordinated terrorist attack and four Americans were murdered, Clinton was in Rarotonga, a South Pacific island between New Zealand and Hawaii, population 13,000. Judging by the festive, tropical welcome party pics, it looks like it was a fun time. No wonder the secretary didnt have time to read all those pesky diplomatic cables she whined about during Congressional testimony on Benghazi in January 2013.

The Obama administration is going to close the US Embassy at The Holy See and move the offices over to the US Italian Embassy. The administration says the Vatican office is unsafe. Of course, this hasnt stopped them before. The administration received several warnings that the Benghazi consulate was unsafe. Dave By Onan Coca / 23 November 2013 In what may be the fastest discovery of someone perjuring themselves before Congress, Henry Chao, the Deputy CIO of the Department of Health and Human Services, apparently lied to Congress a couple of days ago when he said that the Anonymous Shopper feature of the Obamacare site was pulled because it failed so miserably that we co uld not conscionably let people use it. Just a day after Chaos testimony CNN uncovered emails proving that his version of events was not accurate, and in fact was completely different from what he described. It determined the Anonymous Shopper feature "tested successfully," revealed "no high severity defects open" and that "remaining lower severity defects will not degrade consumer experience" The successful test occurred on September 17, according to a source familiar with the project. The next day, in an internal e-mail obtained by CNN, Chao wrote the shopper function "isn't needed and thus should be removed." Wow. This may be the worst lie in history. Chao testified about other seemingly more important things, like the fact that 30 40% of the website still needed to be built, but this one lie is a bombshell and heres why.

Today, if you want to know what plans you might be eligible for and how much those plans could cost you, you have to go through the sign up process, register for Obamacare, and enter all of your personal information. By the time you find out what plans are available and how much theyll cost youre trapped! Like the poor lady from Washington State who was forced onto Medicarebecause of this process. Thats where the Anonymous Shopper feature comes in to save the day ! The Anonymous Shopper feature would have let potential shoppers onto the site to figure out what plans they might be able to get, and about how much it would cost them -- all without actually needing to register or sign up first. The system would let you enter the necessary info anonymously, then estimate for you what plans might be available and about how much theyd cost. Sounds great, right? It is greatfor the consumer. While Chao writes that the function isnt needed and thus should be removed, I b elieve the reason for its removal is more sinister than that. See, technically the function isnt needed to complete the transaction. However, the function would create a much smoother interface for possible consumers; as well, it would make for a more satisfactory user experience. You could get answers to your most important questions quickly and without commitment. It would also ease the traffic burden on Obamacare servers because people wouldnt need to be on the site for as long, and the interaction wouldnt be as complicated or in depth. The point of all of this is that the anonymous shopper feature is designed to make the experience easier by giving the customer an estimate of the plans and prices theyll be paying. I believe this is precisely why the Obama administration had it removed. If people could figure out just how bad this deal was going to be before they signed upno one would! With the anonymous shopper feature, the media could research how people from all sectors of American life would be affected by Obamacare. They could see that most premiums would jump, and that plans wouldnt necessarily fit the customers, and that deductibles would skyrocket. Its not hard to draw the lines here the Obama administration knew that if the anonymous shopper feature was part of the Obamacare site, then Americans would figure out that the administration had been lying all along. The AP headline says that local police are getting the spoils of war. But the spoils of war are items or wealth that are won from the enemy.

These are not spoils of war. Rather, they are military hand-me-downs to the police forces. Trucks that were once used to patrol and control Iraqi cities can now be used in Hometown, USA. Coming soon to your local sheriff: 18-ton, armor-protected military fighting vehicles with gun turrets and bulletproof glass that were once the U.S. answer to roadside bombs during the Iraq war. The hulking vehicles, built for about $500,000 each at the height of the war, are among the biggest pieces of equipment that the Defense Department is giving to law enforcement agencies under a national military surplus program. For police and sheriff's departments, which have scooped up 165 of the mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles, or MRAPS, since they became available this summer, the price and the ability to deliver shock and awe while serving warrants or dealing with hostage standoffs was just too good to pass up. "It's armored. It's heavy. It's intimidating. And it's free," said Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple, among five county sheriff's departments and three other police agencies in New York that have taken delivery of an MRAP. So, having used these vehicles to defeat insurgents and occupy enemy territory, our own sheriffs are now going to get to use them. They need these vehicles to deliver warrants, and for hostage standoffsbecause those happen all the time to every sheriff department in America. Perhaps they will need to invade a business. This national military surplus program looks like a federal program to promote and subsidize red state fascism. I have a hard time believing the people who decided to dispense the tools of war on our sheriffs were unaware that many Americans are growing uneasy with the rise of the warrior cop.

Muslim Amrit Marajh Arrested in Knockout Game Attack on Jewish Man

On Friday, several New York Jews were violently attacked in what has been labeled the "knockout game," in which assailants sneak up on unsuspecting people and hit them as hard as they can in order to knock them unconscious. Police have now charged Amrit Marajh, a 28 year old Muslim male, with punching 24 year old Shmuel Perl at around 2:45am. According to the New York Daily News:

Marajh faces charges of third-degree assault, assault as a hate crime and aggravated harassment as a hate crime. Three other men allegedly with Marajh at the time of the attack were taken into custody but released, police said. He was awaiting arraignment Saturday afternoon. Just before the beatdown, one of the men was "talking about knockout," Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said. Perl was wearing a yarmulke. At least one of the men in the group yelled an anti-Semitic slur, cops said. "I was able to hear them speaking loudly about this knockout game," Perl said in a YouTube interview with the Orthodox magazine Dee Voch. "The group surrounded me. As I tried to get away, one stepped toward me and with a closed fist hit me in the face."

The show relied on an interview with a security contractor who said he was at the U.S. mission in Libya the night it was attacked last year, but questions were raised about whether the source was lying. A CBS internal report obtained by The Associated Press on Tuesday found the network did a poor job vetting the story.

A long-term Afghanistan security pact was in jeopardy Tuesday after Afghan President Hamid Karzai made new demands, prompting the United States to threaten to withdraw all forces after 2014. The Afghan president signaled he was not prepared to sign the agreement during a meeting with U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice. According to the White House, he outlined "new conditions" for signing it, just days after a tentative deal had been reached. The White House said Monday that Rice responded by saying this would mean the U.S. would then start planning to pull out all its forces after 2014, adding that a signed agreement is necessary to plan for thousands of troops to stay in the country to train and mentor Afghan security forces to face the Taliban. "Without a prompt signature, the U.S. would have no choice but to initiate planning for a post-2014 future in which there would be no U.S. or NATO troop presence in Afghanistan," she told the Afghan president. Their meeting in Kabul came the day after Karzai's surprise decision to ignore Sunday's recommendation by an Afghan assembly of dignitaries to sign the Bilateral Security Agreement, a refusal that cast doubt on whether American and allied troops would remain in Afghanistan to train Afghan forces after most foreign troops withdraw next year. According to Karzai's office, he told Rice during Monday's meeting that he wouldn't back down from that decision, deferring it to whoever succeeds him as president in April elections. Karzai announced his decision at a gathering of 2,500 tribal elders and regional leaders known as a Loya Jirga, even though the council not only overwhelmingly approved the deal after a four-day meeting but urged him to sign it by Dec. 31. Washington has asked him to change his mind. But the mercurial Karzai, in the meeting with Rice, says he laid out a series of new demands -albeit ones mostly involving steps the U.S. has already said it would take.

Suicide bombings kill 13 Iraqi soldiers, police

BAGHDAD Suicide bombings at a military base and a police station killed 13 members of the Iraqi security forces north of Baghdad on Tuesday, officials said. In the deadlier of the attacks, two bombers struck: one blew himself up at the gate of the army facility in Tarmiyah town, and then the second set off his explosive belt among a crowd of soldiers who gathered after the earlier blast, police said. The explosions killed nine soldiers and wounded another 24 people. Tarmiyah, a Sunni town and former insurgent stronghold, is about 30 miles north of Baghdad. Half an hour later, police said another suicide bomber blew himself up inside a police station in Baghdad's northern suburbs of Taji, killing four policemen and wounding nine others. Hospital officials confirmed the casualty figures for both attacks. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to journalists. There has been no claim of responsibility for the latest attacks. Al Qaeda's Iraq branch, which has been gaining strength in recent months, frequently targets security forces in an effort to undermine the Shiiteled government in Baghdad. Pakistan's police stop NATO supply truck blockade

PESHAWAR, Pakistan Pakistani police prevented activists who were protesting U.S. drone strikes from blocking trucks carrying NATO troop supplies to and from neighboring Afghanistan on Monday. The intervention was the latest chapter in a saga that began Saturday, when thousands of protesters led by Pakistani politician and cricket star Imran Khan blocked a road in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which is used to ship goods to and from Afghanistan. Khan's party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, said they would block NATO shipments until the U.S. ended drone attacks.

On Sunday, members of Khan's party stopped trucks and roughed up drivers ferrying NATO supplies at a toll booth on the outskirts of Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's provincial capital. Police were present at the scene Sunday but did not stop the protesters, some of whom were carrying wooden batons
