TUNING PARAMETER BACKUP The tuning parameters that are entered in the Tuning Window are not automatically backed up. When these parameters are entered, the values only exist in the FCS until they are saved to the project folder or database. The parameters include P, I, D, HH, HI, LO, LL, PG13 X and Y values, and various other parameters. On demand tuning parameter saves can be done from the System Status Overview:
MODIFYING SYSTEM FILES FOR PROJECT TUNING BACKUP The CENTUM VP\eng\tool folder contains tools used by Yokogawa field Service. One tool, that is a batch file, can be quite helpful in automating tuning parameter backups. The file to use is fcstpsave.bat. Three items need to be modified in the fcstpsave.bat file: 1. CENTUMVPROOT: The UNC qualified path to the project to be saved. 2. PROJECT: The CENTUM VP project folder to be backed up. 3. STATIONS: The FCS station names to be backed up. Go to C:\CENTUM VP\eng\tool Select the file fcstpsave.bat Click the right-hand mouse button and select Edit to change the items accordingly:
rem --------This is the beginning of customized items-------rem Folder to install CENTUM VP rem The last \ is not added. set CENTUM VP ROOT=c:\CENTUM VP rem Project Name with FCS to save TP set PROJECT=CENTUM1B rem Delimit station names of FCS to save TP with single spaces and list them. set STATIONS=FCS0101
