Ifyoudonotusealltheannualleaveyouearninoneyear,youcansaveitforthenext year.However,youcannotcarryforwardmorethan 240hourstothenextfiscalyear. Youwillloseanyleavehoursoverthatamount.Ifyouterminateemploymentwith AAFES,youwillbepaidfortheannualleaveyouhaventused.

SickLeave: Isaccruedattherateof13daysayear,regardlessofyearsofservice.Besuretosaveas muchsickleaveasyoucan youneverknowwhenyouwillneedit.Ifyouuseallyour sickleaveandstillhavetomisswork,yourtimeoffwillbedeductedfromyourannual leave.Ifyourunoutofbothsickandannualleave,youwillhavetotakeleavewithout pay(LWOP).IfyoumakeacareerwithAAFESandeventuallyretire,yoursickleave hoursarecreditedasservicetimeandwillincreaseyourretirementpay. MaternityAbsence: AAFESwillallowyoutotakethetimeoffthatyouneed.Youmustuseallyoursick leavefirstandthenyourannualleave.Ifyouuseallthesickleaveyouhaveearned,you willbeonleavewithoutpayuntilyoureturntowork. PaternityAbsence: AAFESwillallowyoutouseannualleaveorleavewithoutpaytohelpcareforyour otherchildrenortocareforthenewbornsmotheruntilshecanhelpherself. MilitaryLeave: IfyouentertheArmedForceswhileyouareworkingforAAFES,youareconsideredto beonleavewithoutpay.Whenyoucomeback,youwillreceiveyourjobback,if possible.Ifitisnotpossible,AAFESwilltrytoplaceyouinapositionsimilartoyour previousone.IfyouareamemberoftheReservesorNationalGuardandarecalledto activeduty,youcantakemilitaryleaveofuptofifteen(15)calendardaysin ayear.Give yoursupervisoracopyofyourorderswhenyouaskformilitaryleavetime.Youwillbe paidatyourregularratewhileyouareonactivedutyandyouwillnotbechargedany leavetime. The followingMedicalPlansareofferedbasedonyourhomezipcode: o OpenChoiceNoclaimformsorreferralsneeded.$20officevisitscopay, $35forcopayforspecialist,$0copayforpreventivecare.Preventivecare includesroutineannualphysical,wellchildcareandimmunizations,routine gynecologicalexam,mammogram,prostateprescreeningandroutinehearing exam. o TraditionalChoiceThisplanhasadeductibleandthentypicallypays80%of reasonableandcustomarycharges.Preventivecareisalsoavailable.Employee paysthebillandfilesaclaimorthedoctorwillfileforyou. Dental: Includestwocleaningsperyearcoveredat100%,BasicCare,RestorationCare, andOrthodontia.

Otheroptionalinsurancecoverage: BasicLifeInsurance: Employeecoverageisequaltotwo(2)timesyourannualsalary roundedtothenextthousand.PremiumsarepaidinpartbyAAFES. MOVINGEXPENSES: Upto18,000poundsofHouseholdgoodswillbeshippedatAAFESexpense. SHIFTDIFFERENTIALPAY: 10%between6pmand6amformanagementassociates.Adifferentplanisusedfor hourlypayplan(HPP)associates. SUNDAYPREMIUMPAY: 25%ofbasicrateofpay.Associatesmustbescheduledfor40hourweek,partofwhich mustbeonaSunday,nottoexceedeight(8)hours.
