3. Students will apply knowledge towards the Spanish interactive games (Application) 4. Students will categorize Spanish color vocabulary and Spanish number vocabulary (Analysis) Introduce the Learning Activity Teacher will begin by presenting what will be discussed during the class time. Teacher will say, Today in class, we all will be learning about colors and numbers 1- 12 in Spanish. The teacher will pass out a worksheet that will consist of the Spanish written words of colors and numbers. The teacher will start by naming the following colors in English (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, gray, brown, black and white) then Spanish, and finally asking the class to repeat the word after the teacher pronounces it. Ex: Teacher: Red is Rojo. Class: Rojo! The teacher will continue with this method until all the colors have been said and repeated by the class in Spanish. Having knowledge of colors in Spanish will help students describe or be described different objects. Afterwards, the teacher will transition into numbers 1-12 in Spanish. First the teacher will review the words in Spanish, just like with the colors and the class will repeat the colors aloud. Due to the fact that the students will have a worksheet of the vocabulary words, at first the students should be able to follow along and begin to familiarize themselves with the colors and numbers in Spanish. Provide Practice The teacher will instruct the students to go to the RESOURCES page on Daniel Welshers website. Once there, the students will click on the hyperlink, which will bring the students to the Digital Dialects Colors game. Repeating the Spanish numbers and colors earlier was practice, but these interactive games will be more practice individually. The Digital Dialect Colors game can be played one of two ways. The first method is the students will been shown a written version of the color. Afterwards, four different colors will appear and the students will have to select the color that corresponds with the word. The second method is the students will listen for a color said to them in Spanish. Following will appear four colors. The students will select the color that corresponds with that Spanish color that was said. The second interactive Spanish game the students will play is called Spanish Color Flashcards. This game is on Sporcle. The students will have to match the English color with the Spanish color. This game is timed.

Finally, the last Spanish interactive game is back on the same Digital Dialects page where the color was found. The students will be given two Spanish written numbers. The students will have to add the numbers and select the written response. Students will be able to work with the program of their choice. Since it is in class the teacher will be available to assist any students who are unfamiliar with the software. Provide Knowledge of Results When first reviewing the Spanish colors and numbers, the class will be following what the teacher says. Therefore, if the student is paying attention, he/ she will be pronouncing the word correctly. Once the Spanish interactive color and number games begin, if a student answers incorrectly, the game will tell them that they are incorrect. Also, the teacher will be present and if the student answers incorrectly explain the correct answer to the student and motivate them to keep trying. If the student continues to answer incorrectly, comfort the student and acknowledge it is a new subject, but the student is trying. The teacher will circulate around the classroom. If a student understands the material, encourage them to continue and beat their previous time. If a student is struggling while circulating the classroom, reinforce the worksheet of the vocabulary words that could assist them. Review the Activity Check in with each student individually as the teacher circulates the classroom. Make sure progress has been made and the students are well aware of the correct vocabulary meanings. Methods of Assessment The students will be given a worksheet where they will have to match the color and number with the written Spanish word. This summative assessment will be used for a quiz grade.
