manage to establish it soon.On the question of local bodies elections, Dr ali! said his government would follow the orders of the "upreme #ourt and hold elections on a part$ basis. %t the same time, he said delimitation in certain parts of the province could not be held.

On the target !illings of doctors and intellectuals, he said it remained a big loss and his government was wor!ing to end this trend.&'his province has been a conflict (one for the last )* $ears and there are definitel$ certain international actors too who remain active,+ he said, adding, &'heir interference in ,a!istans domestic affairs should stop.+

-t is for the first time in )* $ears that .a middle class government has been formed in the province and credit for this goes to ,rime inister uhammad /awa( "harif, who as!ed the /ational ,art$ to form the provincial government, he said.

&/umericall$ spea!ing, we were short in number and the ,a!istan uslim 0eague-/ could have formed the government. But for the sa!e of peace and to bridge the gap between -slamabad and Balochistan, /awa( "harif supported the /,,+ he added.

-t is a coalition government with three ma1or parties in power, the ,2 %,, /, and , 0 /, and all are on the same page to bring normalit$ to the province, ali! said.Balochistan has two ma1or problems 3 political and economic 3 which need to be tac!led with the support of the coalition partners, the ,2 %, and ,a!istan uslim 0eague /, ali! said. On the political front, militanc$, sectarian terrorism and tribal feuds create the main law and order problems, he said.

&'he insurgenc$ in Balochistan should be seen in a historical perspective4 it is time to wor! within the framewor! of the #onstitution to resolve all issues, though it is easier said than done.+

%bout the rehabilitation of the earthqua!e-hit people of %waran and 2ech districts, he said the provincial government had provided about )5,*** tents, food and other items to the affected families.%bout 6s7*-6s 8* billion is required for the rehabilitation of the qua!e affected people, while Balochistans total budget is 78 billion, he said.

He urged the international communit$ and overseas ,a!istanis to help his government carr$ out rehabilitation and reconstruction wor! in the qua!e-hit areas. He said the government had decided to turn this disaster into an opportunit$ to develop the infrastructure of %waran.
