0ne of the most common iepaiis foi a bicycle is the ieplacement of a uamageu tiie
oi innei tube. Though the causes of a uamageu tiie aie infinite, the ieplacement is
almost always the same.

This instiuction set aims to uetail the impoitant steps that any bicycle ownei neeus
to know in oiuei to safely anu efficiently ieplace a uamageu tiie. This incluues how
to iemove a uamageu tiie anuoi tube, anu how install the ieplacements. The
piocess shoulu only take about Su minutes, but with piactice it can take as little as

When pumping up new innei tube foi ieplacement, inflate only 2-S pumps -
just enough to give the tube some foim anu still be easily flexible.

not lock this levei on spoke.





2.4 Sliue this levei between tiie anu iim while iotating wheel. This
will sepaiate one siue of the tiie fiom the iim.

S.1 Piess top of valve until it is thiough the hole
in the iim.






S.2 Pull valve out of iim.






S.S Pull tube completely out of iim.







4.u Remove tiie

between the tiie anu iim.




4.2 Pull tiie off of iim using both hanus.

insiue of the tiie.








S.2 Piess bottom of tiie into the iim using youi thumb.
Continue this aiounu the iim until half of tiie is in the iim.










6.u Replace tube

6.2 Inflate tube softly with a few
pumps of aii.








6.S Align tube valve with the hole
in the iim anu inseit tube into
the tiie.




6.4 Push valve thiough hole in iim.







6.S Piess tube into tiie until the tube is nesteu in the tiie anu no
longei visible.



7.u Replace tiie - Pait B
7.1 Piess poition of tiie not in iim into the iim using youi
thumb.






7.2 Continue this aiounu entiie wheel until it is too uifficult to
complete using youi hanu.

7.S Sliue tiie levei in between the tiie still not in the iim, anu
the iim.








7.4 Pull tiie levei up such that the tiie snaps into the iim.
Repeat until tiie is completely embeuueu in iim.










8.u Inflate tiie
8.1 Attach pump to tube valve
anu inflate tube to
specifieu piessuie.
