Jason Johnson was a child, a child with a bright future ahead of him. Jason Johnson had a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, or HCM for short. He had no control over his condition, and even had a surgery scheduled to get it under control for late March. This surgery couldnt have been more than 4 days after his tragic death. Any future Mr. Johnson had was destroyed by (Mr./Miss) Rae Concha. Jason didnt get to graduate high school, get married, have children, or even have an 18th birthday, all because Jasons friend, Rae Concha, illegally sold him Adderall. Your honor, we know that Rae Concha has Adderall readily available, Adderall that (he/she) supplied to Jason Johnson, aware of his heart condition. Jason Johnson did not have a prescription for Adderall; in fact, his HCM worsened the effects of this Adderall, making use of it even worse than someone of normal conditions. We also know that Adderall was found [on multiple occasions] in the defendants car. Expert witness, Officer Robin Doherty testifies to seeing the defendant carry around a blue backpack, the same blue backpack found with other suspicious items, such as large rolls of currency, a notebook that looked to be a ledger, and plastic baggies containing 5 pills each. These items were all found together in the defendants car [once on February 22, 2013 and again] on March 27, 2013. We also heard from the concerned principal of Rosewood High School, Riley McAlister, who testified to her school having a drug problem, a problem she carefully narrowed down to the marching band. She educated herself on this issue to better her knowledge and to make an attempt to halt this problem so unfortunately occurring at her school. She also testified towards the fact that this problem existed previous to the academic year that Jason Johnson had so

unexpectedly passed away. Rae Concha has gone to Rosewood High School since [his/her] freshman year, attending whenst this problem was occurring. Weve also heard a testimony from another of our expert witnesses, Dr. Ricki Sanchez, who shares his expertise on Jasons cause of death, caused by Adderall. He informs us that alcohol was not the cause of death in this case, nor was Johnsons HCM alone. We know from this testimony that there was 40 mg of Adderall present in Jasons system, which is 2-4 times the [therapeutic/prescription] dose for someone of his age. Our final witness, a Miss Alex Weaver even saw the defendant selling drugs on numerous occasions. Not only has [Mr./Miss] Concha sold Adderall, the drug that killed Jason Johnson, but [he/she] has been seen selling other drugs, as well. Does this sound like a responsible young [man/woman]? [Mr./Miss] Rae Concha is a drug counselor, and thus has at least basic knowledge of the effects of drugs, especially the one [he/she] takes [her/him]self. Its almost common knowledge, even, that someone with a heart condition should not be taking Adderall, a stimulant, a drug that affects the heart, yet this [man/woman] sitting right over there sold [his/her] best friend the drug that killed him. Of course, we have considered the burden of proof here today, such as If Rae Concha did in fact sell these drugs to Jason, theres no way [he/she] could have known it would kill him. Although it is true that [Mr./Miss] Concha didnt know of Jasons heart condition until recently before his death, we know that even after obtaining this information about Jason, [Mr./Miss] Concha had the audacity to continue to sell these fatal drugs to him.

On February 16th, 2013, we know that Jason Johnson had obtained 5 Adderall pills from a source at school. Adderall pills were found conveniently bagged in amounts of 5 in the

defendants car, [seen twice by our officer]. We know that Johnson consumed 3 of those pills that same night at a concert, leaving 2 pills left. 2 pills equals 40 mg, the amount found in Johnsons system at the time of death. February 16th was also before Rae Concha knew of Jasons HCM, so [he/she] surely couldnt have done it on purpose, right? Wrong. Of those 2 remaining pills, one was given to Alex Weaver, who, ashamed, had given in to peer pressure and taken it. That leaves only 20 mg of Adderall left in Jasons possession the night previous to his death. [Mr./Miss] Concha was also present that night, and was even seen shaking hand with Johnson. After the testimonies weve heard today, we know that handshaking is a way for drug dealers to pass on their products. This method is the very same method Rae Concha used to kill his friend. The next day, Jason Johnson has obtained more pills, and is pronounced dead. Your honor, this is no coincidence. There is no doubt that Rae Concha does not care for human life, and we cannot let [his/her] actions be repeated. Rae Concha is guilty and must be found as such.
