Executive Summary
Demand of steel in Bangladesh is steadily growing in line with the countrys economic development and general increase in purchasing power. As a measure of the increasing usage of steel annual spending in the construction industry has nearly doubled in the last five years. Steel usage is projected to increase further in the intermediate future as the Government of Bangladesh plans to undertake massive infrastructural projects to keep pace with the rapidly expanding economy. With the growing urbanization, there is substantial demand from the housing industry as numerous development projects will be taken up in our major cities, satellite towns and tourist spots. Such projects result in significant increase in demand for steel and steel products along with other construction materials. Steel is a basic requirement of infrastructural development and multiple construction related usage. The steel industry of Bangladesh consists of the manufacturer of both long steel and flat steel as the final products in the industry value chain. The country kept on relying on import tertiary level steel processing facilities. For this reason Cold Roiled (CR) coil manufacturing industries were established in Bangladesh.

Background of the Study The steel industry in Bangladesh has a good future because BSRM have grown steadily in the last 15 years. The steel industry's growth is highly correlated with that of the economy, and therefore when the economy does well, the industry will also do well. For the industry to grow the government needs to ensure basic infrastructure, power, gas and an educated workforce without which, industrial growth will sputter. Quality is often not up to snuff: "Only some companies make rebar conforming to international standards, and a significant percentage of materials produced in the country follows no international or BSTI standards. Lack of implementation and enforcement of standards is extremely dangerous for a country like ours, which is in an earthquake zone. "Steel production in the country is fairly efficient when in automated plants; but he explains that this isn't enough: As an industry, BSRM have a long way to go to match Western efficiency levels. Steel making requires a lot of energy, good infrastructure and qualified human resources: "As a nation, we are lacking in all these. "Regardless of the odds, we are growing; and one can only imagine how much growth we will have if we solve the basic problems in the country. Bangladesh is adopting new technologies but still has long way to go to improve as an industry. "As our economy keeps growing and size of the industry grows, more and more companies will be able to afford newer technologies." Many steel manufacturers that it is impossible for them to raise market prices with a syndicate, hoarding, etc. "The steel market operates in the most competitive environment at all times. There is no need for government to intervene at any point in time and create disequilibrium." The future of local steel its become greener as well as automated. Companies are focusing also on the environment, and have installed fume-extraction systems that work efficiently to protect our environment by controlling the air discharged from the plant.

Problem Statement Find out the specific answer of How to explore marketing impact on BSRMs current s ales and opportunities to create a new market. To get this specific explanation we have to find out some problems Explanation: As our economy keeps growing and size of the industry grows, more and more companies will be able to afford newer technologies. The steel market operates in the most competitive environment at all times. There is no need for government to intervene at any point

in time and create disequilibrium. Therefore now BSRM have to fight more than past and have to add new-fangled thoughts and new-fangled technology. But before that we have to find out some problems and identify some factors of marketing activities which effect on the current sales in the market consequently. We can find out the new market opportunities of BSRM for increasing future sales growth and can maintain their vision.

Objectives of the research:

To establish the position of BSRM regarding market share. To establish marketing impact on BSRMs current sales. To establish comparative analysis.

Research Design:
As it is conducted to describe the marketing impact on current sales therefore from the view point of function it is descriptive research. This research is based upon both qualitative and quantitative methods from the view point of data and this is a combination of both desk and field research as it required data collection by using both primary and secondary data like internet , different kinds of books , journals etc.

Data collection
There have been used basic sources of data. These were: Primary Data: Face to face conversation with the company employees. By interviewing and interacting with some internal employees and customers Talking with some top dealers of steels at dealers point. Secondary Data: Different types of secondary data have been collected from different aspects. Sources of secondary information are as follows: Product vouchers, catalogue and manuals.

Internet BSRM Bulletin Books

Analysis the Data:

There is no certain analyzing too to analyze the data of a descriptive research. This report is mainly explaining the marketing impact on BSRMs current sales and opportunities to create a new market.

Reporting
A comprehensive report will be prepared. This report will include graphs charts and simple statistical analysis so that the report can be understood easily. Along with the report a simple handout will be prepared for the presentation of the report. This handout will include all the key points so that one can easily grasp the whole gist of the report.
