Many of my students have been attending
my MS Yoga Class for 10 years. Te stu-
dents arrive at class feeling fatigued, and in
physical and emotional pain. By the
conclusion of class, they share how much
better they feel and leave standing a bit
taller with a smile. Several students have
stated that yoga is the best thing they have
done for their MS.

Tank you for your purchase and I hope you fnd the en-
closed DVD helpful in developing a home Yoga practice and
an improved sense of well being. When I was diagnosed with
Relapsing-Remitting MS, I thought there was nothing I could
do until I learned about Yoga. I use Yoga as a part of a holistic
approach to improve my quality of life. In time, my relapses
began to become less frequent and less severe. I attribute
part of this to Yoga. Yoga is by no means a cure but can be
benefcial to anyone who has limitations. We reccomend you
preview a section before you participate.
Tere are various modifcations ofered
throughout the DVD. Work at your pace.
Good luck and enjoy.

From the Makers
How do I breathe and when do I inhale and exhale?
Breathing in and out of the nose is optimal unless otherwise
stated in the DVD. Typically we inhale when the body is
expanding and exhale when the body is contracting.
How long do I have to wait afer eating to practice yoga?
Typically wait 1 hour afer eating a meal.
If Im having an exacerbation, can I still do yoga? Consult
your physician frst, but yes, you can usually still do yoga. Do
only what feels good and rest more in between poses.
How many days per week should I practice yoga? Ideally
you want to practice yoga 6 days a week, even if you only have
time for 15 minutes. 3 days a week at 5 minutes each time is
better than no practice.
How long do I hold a pose? 3-5 breaths (at least 20 seconds).
Do I need yoga props? It is recommended to have a yoga mat,
which ofers a slip resistant surface. You can use a bath robe belt
as a strap. You can tape together old phone books to act as blocks.
Can anyone do Yoga? Yes. Te Floor poses done on your
back and the Care-giver section can be practiced in bed. Please
remember to go at your own pace and modify and rest as needed.
What is the best time of day to do yoga? Morning is a great
time of day to exercise. It can give you more energy throughout
the rest of your day. However, do yoga any time that works for
you. Setting up a specifc time does foster a habit of regular
practice.

Will I hurt afer? You should feel great afer and into the
evening or next day. However if you stretch too far or push
yourself too far, you may be sore. NEVER go into pain in a pose,
back out of the pose until you do not feel pain.

Should I drink water afer? Yes, drink plenty of water afer
yoga. Yoga releases toxins that get built up in tissues and water
will help fush them out of your system.
