Platform Statement Assignment Philosophy in Leadership During my graduate studies, I have had the opportunity to reflect on what my own instructional leadership vision is to facilitate a climate and culture in which supports student learning by empowering colleagues and students to reach their personal best. As a future instruction supervisor, I value the importance of being a positive role model for my staff, colleagues, and students. In addition, it is my professional philosophy to not ask or require others to perform a task that I would not do myself. As future instructional supervisor, I value need to have an open lines of communication between administration, teacher, staff, and local school board members. I am committed to my ability articulate my vision effectively to ensure my faculty is able to understand what my expectations and vision is. I will also provide my staff support, tools, and resources that they require to ensure their ability to implement best practices within their instruction to ensure student achievement. In addition, I will take in consideration of any policies or procedure changes that will impact my staff. As an educator, I understand the importance in communicating any changes in a timely manner that may impact them personal or professional. Leadership Style An instructional leader must be passionate about education, strive for student success and achievement, and have integrity. As a future instructional supervisor I will incorporate the qualities from both a servant and authoritarian leadership style. In addition I value the importance of effective collaboration between all stakeholders, as well as making decisions confidence when necessary. As instructional supervisor I will

be a servant first than a leader. According to Erin Ronder, a servant leadership encourages collaboration, trust, foresight, listening, and the ethical use of power and empowerment. I firmly believe that an effective leader encourages which allows the opportunity for an organization to participate the decision making process through effective collaboration. By facilitating and cultivating an environment of trust which will encourage effective collaboration between administration and faculty members by valuing the opinions, experiences, and expertise of all parties involved in aiding the development of our instructional practices As an authoritative leader, I will incorporate a good balance in my ability to value the opinions and expertise of my colleagues, but understood the importance in being able to make quick, fast decisions with confidence. As an autocratic leader, I have the ability to take charge of a group, assign tasks as I feel necessary based on the individuals strengths and weaknesses, and meet deadlines adequately.
Work With Stakeholders

The stakeholders within a school community consist of the students, parents, school and district staff, school board, taxpayers, business community, and other members within the community. By working effectively with all stakeholders provides the opportunity for the students academic needs to be met by implementing best practices within our instruction. As a community we want to ensure our students reach their full academic potential for career or college readiness. As instructional leader I will value their opinions, beliefs, and culture of my students and their families. I will provide the support, communication, and collaboration that is required that their students needs are met academically. This will be done through sending letters homes, sending or posting newsletters, phone calls,

conferences, and other mends necessary. As educators, I know the importance in developing meaningful relationships with my students. Students must have some control and accountability in their education process. This can be done through having speaking with the students to discuss their educational path. Within the school building I will provide opportunities for staff members to express themselves openly by cultivating a safe environment in which they can freely discuss their opinions and expertise. I plan on implementing professional learning communities. This will then provided teachers and administration staff the opportunity to work together to ensure best practices are being implemented within our instructional practices and lessons. In addition, these communities provide time to gather, analyze and discuss student data. As a building, I would incorporate monthly faculty meeting. This then provides teachers, staff, and administration staff the opportunity to work together as a school to ensure student success, as well discuss any polices and procedures that may impact any staff members. If the district does not already hold district-wide meeting, I would encourage the district to hold them at least twice a year. I believe it is important they a district works together by discussing areas of strength and weakness, as well as expectations and the vision. , In addition, by gathering as a district will provide everyone a feeling that we are a team working towards a common goal. Lastly, I will encourage that business, taxpayers, and other community members to attend local school board meeting. As a community, we can work as a team that students needs are being met to prepare them for the for either the job market or in continuing their education at a higher education institute.

PLATFORM STATEMENT ASSIGNMENT

Educational Issues I will address educational issues by keeping myself update to the new laws and policies that legisslative passes. As a school administrator it is important that all legislative laws and policies are implemented if they were not then it may affect school funding or may present other legal actions that may impact the school or district negatively. In addition, I will keep my self-update by networking and researching educational research-based strategies that may be effective to implement within my school community to ensure student growth. Lastly, I will continue my own education through courses and professional development so I am aware of what trends are presented in education today or where it may be leading to in the future.
